Reunion July 28-29 2001

The second D1/4 reunion was held in Branson Mo. July 28 and 29 2001 at the Motel 6. Bryan and Rhonda Aubin were the hosts for this reunion Bryan was a part of D1/4 in Nam and his wife operates the Motel 6 in Branson Mo. Im sure along with myself and all the Marines who were there appreciate all they did to make us all welcome... I would like to say to them.. Well Done I met a lot of new friends I had never seen before and was reunited with a very special person Ed Beesley.. He was my fire team leader while in Viet-Nam. We hadnt been in country maybe 3 months and Ed was severelt wounded I had lost contact with him until I was reunited with him at the reunion. This man had left an ever lasting impression on me. Always in a cheerful mood, always smiling..willing to help his fellow Marine. It was hard to hold back the tears when I met him again after 36 years he had always been on my mine from the time he was wounded . Thanks Ed for being a great friend and Marine. All the other Marines who were at the reunion became members of D 1/4 after I had rotated out of country...but never the less still part of D 1/4. The men of D 1/4 formed a tight bond that can never be broken. This unit had seen more action than they wanted im sure but they still kicked ass. Im proud of the men who came after me...to this I SALUTE YOU ALL for an OUT STANDING JOB.

"WELL DONE MARINES"
