A dangerous young man who doesn't know much about his past (except that he was raised on another world), Adam-X the X-treme is a very valued ally or a very dangerous enemy, depending on who's side one is on. With the mutant power of projecting electrical charges that sears through the body, Adam-X is quite dangerous, but he does not consider himself to be a soldier.

In X-Force #30, Adam-X was pitted against Shatterstar as part of Arcade's sick twisted game. Both had to fight each other, and only one would win and go free. It looked as if Shatterstar had been defeaten after Adam-X disabled him with his mutant powers, but Shatterstar recovered quick enough to attack. Shatterstar quickly knocked some sense into Adam-X, convincing him that there must be a better way so that both can gain their freedom without having to kill each other. Both ganged up and defeated Arcade, who was revealed to be a robot. They departed at the end as allies.
