As a young child, he grew up under his parent's care until Bane murdered his parents in front of his young eyes.  From that moment on, Batman was born.  Bruce thought that no innocent person should endure an injustice like he had experienced.  He became the dark knight of Gotham who protected the innocent from the villains.
