| DC Comics is one of
the most diverse comic publishers because they provide a lot of themes
that appeal to the readers.
DC Comics, also known as National periodical, began in 1935. It started out as a small company that produced NEW FUN COMICS. Several years later, Detective Comics was released. It marked a spot in comic book history because it revolutionized story telling. Detective Comics were the first comics that involved a storyline that would evolve through each issue.
In 1938, Superman was released in Action Comics Issue #1. Superman was the first superhero that DC published. After Superman's birth, Detective Comics released Batman. Soon after, DC published many other superheroes who remain popular to this day. Flash, Wonderwoman and Green Lantern are just some of the fantastic characters which were introduced in the 1940s.

During
world war 2, many of DC's characters formed groups of characters to form
the Justice League of America or the Justice Society of America.
This method of storytelling, inspired the birth of the X-men.
