The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants is a group of mutants dedicated to demonstrate the superiority of mutants over humans.
The Brotherhood was founded by Magneto, who believed that the way of achieving his goal was by attacking the humans with a team that could face the X-Men. From that first team the only member that is still loyal to the Brotherhood is Toad after the leaving of Magneto and Rogue to join the X-Men and Quicksilver that joined the Avengers with his sister.
Nowadays, the Brotherhood is led by Mystique and has joined other evil groups such as Hydra forming the Syndicate, a group created to extract power from the ISO-8 and fight the Alliance.
