The Rockfords
The Rockfords are Mike(guitar), Rick Friel(bass), Chris Friel(drums), Danny Newcomb(guitar), and Carrie Akre(vocals), with additional vocals by Nancy Wilson. Chris, Danny, and Carrie also currently play with the Seattle band Goodness, Rick is with Jodi Watts, and Nancy Wilson is well known for her work with both Heart and the Lovemongers.
Current Status: The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their first record. Mixing is being done by John Goodmanson whose resume includes Goodness and Sleater Kinney among others.
Latest News: May 24, 1999. The record will be released in late September/early October thru Epic Records, they have not established a firm release date yet. Twelve songs were recorded during the sessions, Carrie sang ten, the multi-talented Rick sang one, and Nancy Wilson sang a song titled "Riverwide." The band has not yet decided which, or how many, songs will appear on the record. As previously reported, Rick Nielson from Cheap Trick *did* play around with the band during the recording sessions however, none of his work will appear on the Rockfords record. In addition to the record, the band is now making plans to do a MONTH LONG tour in the fall. They'll be hitting many major cities across the U.S. a la the Three Fish tour

Disinformation formerly Mad Season
Disinformation is Mike(guitar), John Baker Saunders(bass), Barrett Martin(drums) and Mark Lanegan(vocals). Mark and Barrett are mostly notably known for their work with Screaming Trees.
Current Status: Reports on this project are currently conflicting, some say that the project is complete and ready for release others say vocal tracks have not been done yet.
Latest News: February 3, 1999. Sadly, John Baker Saunders passed away in late January. Baker's friends and family, along with the Experience Music Project, have set up a scholarship fund in his memory. The fund will be used to help children wishing to attend camps for the arts. Mad Season see Disinformation above
Mad Season was Mike, Layne Stayley(vocals), John Baker Saunders(bass), and Barrett Martin(drums). In 1995 Mad Season released their only record, Above, on Columbia Records. Considered by many to be Mike's greatest work, Above combines aspects of both traditional rock and the blues. Shortly after the record, a video, Mad Season: Live at The Moore, was released. The fabulous video chronicles one of the few shows the band performed at The Moore Theatre in Seattle.

Three Fish, The Quiet Table
Once again lending his skills to a Pearl Jam band mate, Mike helps out on the track "Resonate" from Three Fish's second record The Quiet Table.

Brad, Interiors
Mike helps his band mate Stone out on "The Day Brings."

Screaming Trees, Dust
Mike plays guitar on "Dying Days." Of note is the fact that this songs has been considered by critics to be reminiscent of the work of Led Zeppelin, a la "Given to Fly."

The Cable Guy
Mike appears with $10,000 Gold Chain doing a cover of a Velvet Underground tune, "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'". $10,000 Gold Chain also features members of Green Apple Quickstep.

Schoolhouse Rock Rocks!
You could not possibly have been a kid in the 70's without knowing all of the Schoolhouse Rock songs by heart. Mike preforms "Electricity, Electricity" with his friends from Goodness. Proceeds from the record went to The Children's Defense Fund.

Mike is credited as a contributor although it's unclear what songs he might me playing on. Anyone?

Mike plays guitar on "Freshwater Screwdriver."

Tuatara, breaking the ethers
This entirely instrumental record brings together many well knowns in the music industry, including Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season) and Peter Buck (R.E.M.). It's very free form, incorporating some unusual instruments. Mike appears on this, Tuatara first record, playing guitar on "The Getaway."
