...A Karma rating/Cozy?
Karma, or member ratings, are displayed under your member title (the name under your avatar). The smilies are pictoral representations of your "karma" with the AG Administration. Whether your "karma" is positive or negative is based on your posts--are they useful, friendly, and/or helpful?
All members start at 0 (Neutral) and from there can be promoted to +5 or -5. The +6 picture is given only to admins, moderators, or staff members and the -6 given only to members who have been banned.
Only admins (Ex, Adi, or Rhy) can change your karma rating.
Although only the admins can change your rating, moderators will be making suggestions about members who should be praised (given a + rating) or warned (given a - rating). If your name is suggested by a moderator or administrator, two other moderators or administrators have to second the nomination (for a total of 3 votes).
If you want to get praised/promoted: Members most likely to be noticed are those who help out answering questions, pleas, or are actively helpful in threads.

When members reach -5, they will be banned if their behavior doesn't improve after a few days.
But, as members advance upward in positive ratings, they are granted priviledges. For example:
Custom member titles are ONLY granted to members with a +1, or "Cozy" rating.
Colored member titles are ONLY granted to members with a +3, or "Very Friendly" rating.
CUSTOM member ratings are ONLY granted to members who reach +5, or "Great Friend" rating.
Guidelines for "promoteable"/"demoteable" behavior
Many of you have been asking (over and over again ;)) about what you have to do to, "get noticed." Here's the guidelines Ex gave us all to go by:
+5 = maintains a +4 status for a fairly long.
+4 = helping members, prone to give kind words
even to those that attack them
+3 = helpful and continues to be very friendly
+2 = continues to participate, generally friendly and polite,
approachable by others
+1 = participates in a generally friendly manner
0 = neutral
-1 = has a general bad attitude towards others and makes
unprovoked sarcastic comments towards others
-2 = uses excessive foul language and sexual overtones
on a constant basis
-3 = habitually attacks other members and/or is constantly
bickering and arguing without being reasonable
-4 = has shown him/herself to be crude and unreasonable; has
not added anything to AG and actually his/her
presence detracts instead, final warning before banning
-5 = Why is this member still around?
If you think you or someone you know deserves a rating, all I can say is be patient. We try to do a bunch of promotions weekly or biweekly, although circumstances may prevent that. If you get looked over one week, there's a good chance you won't be the next week. Complaining about it will only be detrimental to your chances--just try to be a little friendly and a little helpful.
