AG is the forum for the Anime-Genesis site, located at Anime-Genesis.Com. Anime-Genesis is a large anime site with reviews, image galleries, wallpaper, hotbars, fanfiction, games, and more. The site itself has been around for several years--I found it for the first time back in 10th grade--probably in '98--and it was already a large, useful resource then! I've been *eh-hem* making use of AG's image galleries for years. ;) More detailed information about the site, its purpose, and so on can be found on the site itself.
The guy who created and owns Anime-Genesis is known as "Ex" and he is one of the Administrators at the AG Forum (of course ;)). For a while, Ex was helped by another Admin named Quintayne, who resigned. Adi Das was chosen as the next Admin, and then myself (Rhyaniwyn). Admins are basically the top authority at AG (referring to the forum). The admins of the forum don't necessarily have anything to do with the main site (and we do not have access to the server). Below the Admins are the Moderators. Moderators were chosen by Ex or another admin and were often nominated by current Mods. Moderators are basically empowered to take action by deleting/editing whole threads and individual posts. In general, Moderators are supposed to make their decisions based on the guidelines for AG, so, yes, they are "allowed" to do whatever-it-is they did (in most cases). Complaints should be initially addressed to the individual Mod via the PM system.
AG is first and foremost an anime forum for discussion of various anime and manga and related topics. SPAM and hate posts are not tolerated. Using the forum as a chatroom is not tolerated. There IS, however, a new chat for AG members. It is not officially connected with the Anime-Genesis.com domain, it was founded by Merle and Rhy. For those of you familiar with IRC, it is on webmaster.webchat.org, channel #ag. For others, there is a java chatroom you can use to access the #ag channel. The forum software is ikonboard, a free forum software. AG forums run on the 2.0 series, which has less options built in (currently) than the 3.0 series of ikonboard. Ex has, however, installed various add-ons and modifications to the script--such as the karma system.
