These are modifications that have been already done to the car. Some of them will have how-to's:

Sylvania Super White headlight bulbs: These are great! The headlights on the 2000 Accent are great from the factory, but these headlight bulbs really improved it. The low beam is slightly better than the stock unit, providing a somewhat whiter beam. The high beams are incredible! They are a very crispy bluish white, especially noticeable on reflective street markings and white cars. The only drawback to these bulbs is that sometimes people will think I have my high beams on when I have the low beam instead. No worry, I just flash them the high beams!! At around $12 a bulb they're a worthy add on.

Mobil 1 engine oil, 10W-30: a must for anyone who wants their engine lasting long. Especially when you live in a hot environment like me. Here in the Mojave desert the temperature can reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer, and under the hood I bet they're in the 150's or higher! The extra price of synthetic oil is not much for the extra warranty they provide. Each bottle costs $3.60.

Home-made Cold Air Intake: a simple flexible aluminum tube, a clamp, a zip-tie and a zip-tie anchor, and, voila! I have a cold air intake. Click here for the how-to, where I explain the whole thing. It cost me less than $10, and it lowers the intake air temperature. Colder air = more hps!

Future modifications (wish list):

K&N air filter: to make the car breathe better, to gimme more go!

Short shifter: so I too can shift like Collin McRae.

15" Rims with 195/50-15 tires: to hug 'em corners a lil better, also give the car a better look.

Shark Racing strut bar: to tighten up the chassis.

Lowering springs: to improve the ride and hug 'em corner a lil harder.

Bigger throttle body: just cause bigger is better (so she said).

Thicker front and rear sway bars: again, to improve the ride...

A CD changer: hey, I gotta put something for comfort once in a while!

A winning lottery ticket, so I can afford all this.
