On December 18, 1987 we got a construction loan to build our dream home
on the 5 1/3 acres we had purchased in 1983.
We had drilled the well and installed the pressure system.
We brought electricity to the property.
Now it was time to build.
This is the site were the house will be built.
Construction started immediately.
This is the foundation.
There was two levels and the house will be built on the lower level.
The retaining wall is against the hill where the driveway will be.
The entry into the house will be from the driveway.
The downstairs will be a full size basement.
This is the downstairs framed in.
This is the frameing of the house.
Lucky for us this was a mild winter allowing continuous construction.
The roof is now on the house.
It is January 30, 1988. Construction has gone very well.
One and one half months so far.
Now the siding is on.
Construction on the interior can begin.
The hearth and stove we will use for heat.
And of course the Kitchen.

This is where the cookies are baked.
