When we built our home we did not have the money to build the deck.
Finally after sixteen years we built the deck.
We had the plans drawn up by the company the built our home.
Construction started August 7, 2004 by digging the pier holes. After the cement cured we started framing.
Our son in law helped me dig the pier holes. My wife and I poured the cement.
Our daughter helped us put up the ledger board.
Our son and I framed it and then we all painted the framework. My son and I laid the deck.
The railings were next. My wife, daughter and I put up the handrails and pickets. Then the post toppers finished the construction August 31,2004.
We celebrated Emma's birthday on our new deck.
