August 1, 2002 - Thursday
Hot and sunny, the promised rain only materialized around 9:30.
I got a ride to the apartment with Fumihiko this morning as I thought it was going
to rain. That meant that I sat in my sweltering apartment and sweated until it was
time to go to work. Actually, I didn't sit there, I took a nap. And a darn good
one it was too.
On the way to work this morning I stopped off at the bank and paid my water bill.
Whew! One less thing to do.
Work was fine today. My child student de jour was sick so I didn't have him today.
I got my classes planned and they seemed to go okay. Not great, not terrible though.
I finished work early tonight and Fumihiko picked me up and drove me home. I ate
unagi....that's grilled eel to you folks and some kind of eggplant dish that was
really good. It's hot here, but the forecast is for cooler temperatures tomorrow.
Hurray.
That's about it for today. The heat is making me very tired and not very good at
writing. Sorry!
