Lesson 2  
The importance of being born -again

I. This lesson is specifically designed to show us the need of salvation and how to be born-again.
                  Please Read John 3:1-7 ( Text references may be accessed on the bottom of the page)

a) Jesus said there is a Physical birth and a  S_________________ birth.  (vs.5)  The Spiritual birth is available to all man-kind.   Jesus said  Ye  __________ be __________- ____________ to enter into the kingdom of Heaven.  It is from vs. 7 that the term "born-again" is derived.

II.  It is necessary to be born-again because we are sinners by nature.
a) Sin, which is rebellion toward GOD, entered into the world by the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.  All of mankind is born of the seed of the first man A_______.  Read Romans 5:12 Check here when complete______
b) There is not a just man on the earth, that does good and sins not!  Romans 3:10 and Eccelatics 7:20 both make this point clearly. 
c) No one is Exempt from this condition. Sin separates us from a Holy Righteous God.  Read Romans 3:23  "_____ have _______ and come short of the ___________of GOD."
d) With sin in our lives we cannot be ACCEPTABLE to GOD- we have all inherited A______ sin.  The PENALTY (wage) for this Sin is _______________. Romans 6:23
e) God in HIS LOVE MERCY and GRACE, provide a way for us to be reconciled with HIM- It came through HIS SON JESUS CHIRST!  Read and Memorize John 3:16.
f) So what do you see the point of John 3:7 to be?________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Did Jesus Christ leave any option on how to get to Heaven?________

II. It is important to understand GOD'S great GIFT to us.
a) Be aware of what it cost the Sinless SON of GOD when HE Paid our sin DEBT. ( Our wage for sin)
n Our  S___ is responsible for the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.  Read 1 Peter 2:24  Check here when complete
n Our sin is just the symptom of our root problem which is our sin nature that we got from our father A____

b) Our sin offends God.  Scripture reveals our desperate need to be forgiven.  God has made this command of all mankind
- And the time of this __________________God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to ____________.  Acts 17:30
- We need to be born-again because of the gravity of our sin condition.  God commands it because He has no desire that anyone should go to Hell.   Read and check  2 Peter 3:9_________
III. It is necessary to know how to be born-again since it is vital  to our eternal destiny.
   a) We must b________________ on the Son, to have everlasting life…John 3:36
   b) We must put total trust in Christ to be born-again. Read Romans 10:10-13.  Check here when completed_________
c) A person is born-again when they repent and ask Jesus to save them from their sins.
d) Repentance is acknowledging you're a sinner, and have a contrite and broken heart because you're a sinner, and then purposing in your heart you are going to turn from the profane things of this life and go GOD'S Way.
e)  After we have been shown how to be born-again, that is the time to accept Jesus as your Savior. 
- The Holy Spirit will  d________us to Him!  John 6:44
- Now is the acceptable time to be born-again. Read 2 Corinthians 6:2.  Check here when completed_______________
- Receive Jesus today in your heart by faith.   Being born-again is totally of Grace through faith, there are no human works necessary!
- Read and Memorize Ephesians 2:8-9
