THE CHICO REPORT
In 205 days we will be organizing into a New Testament Church. This is a time of great joy and also a time of great responsibility! We here in Chico have a burden to go into the organization with the debt on the property retired!! This may sound impossible to man, but for our GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!! To this end we began praying months ago about a way to see GOD retire this debt. Recorded in 2 Chronicles 24: 1-11 we find that Joash was minded to repair the temple of GOD. He took a chest and bore a hole in the top and called for a special offering. This offering was received and the Lord blessed with an abundance of funds!! We here in Chico now have a CHEST (made by Bro. Lee) that has a hole in the top and it is sealed until the day we organize. In this chest all the members have decided to pledge a certain amount for this special offering. The House of God is in good repair but it is IN DEBT! This is where you come in. We ask that you ask the Lord to give you a burden to help retire the debt here in Chico. All monies received will go into our secured chest and will be opened and counted at the Organization. We will be having a week long Revival the week of the Organizational meeting in which we will take a CHEST OF JOASH offering every night! Then at the Organizational meeting we will also receive a Chest of Joash offering. We do not want anyone denied the blessing of being involved with the retiring of the debt! It is a challenge for us to face a $2100.00 a month mortgage, and without your help every month we would be hard pressed to make it!! Please ask God to stir your heart and help us retire this debt. Begin praying now for an amount that you will send or bring to put in the Chest of Joash. If you are unable to deliver the funds personally and you do want to be involved you may send a check, but please indicate that it is for the Chest of Joash. We will report on who sent what after the Organizational meeting.. I will be writing an article for the Baptist Observer about the Chest of Joash, and hopefully that will answer any questions you may have. Please enter into prayer with us that our AWESOME, MIGHTY GOD will retire the debt. Please enter into prayer with us that during the Revival many lost souls will be saved and all of GODS people will be revived and drawn closer to HIM!
