Technical Assistance Program |
 Short-term
and long-term Canadian technical assistance is being provided to the
Central BAPEDAL, BAPEDAL Wilayah III (BAPEDALWIL) and Ministry of State
for Environment (LH) in specific priority areas of environmental
management. The objective of the technical assistance program is to
assist BAPEDAL/WIL in strengthening human resources for developing and
implementing sound environmental policies, programs and projects. This
objective is being accomplished by advisors working together with
BAPEDAL/WIL counterparts to upgrade the level of technical competence
and professionalism in their designated areas of responsibility and
specialization. The CEPI technical assistance advisors work with their
BAPEDAL/WIL counterparts as part of issue-based technical teams (Working
Groups) in order to facilitate skills transfer and their development as
competent environmental professionals.
