I decided to make this web page to share something that has greatly affected my life and the lives of thousands of others. I decided to do something last year that showed me that if I could do this, that anything was possible in life if I put the effort into acheving that goal. I didn't know anyone who had HIV or AIDS, but I knew that there were thousands of those who needed help from charities like the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. I wanted to do something to help, while at the same time do something that I loved to do already, which was bicycling. The event that I'm talking about is the California AIDS Ride. Last year, May 31st to June 6th, 1998, me and over 2,600 other bicyclists left Fort Mason in San Francisco on May 31st to ride over 576 miles over 7 days, to end June 6th in Century City in Los Angeles. Each rider is required to raise a minimum of $2,500 to be able to go on the ride, together we raised over 9.5 million for AIDS/HIV services in California. On Average we rode between 55 and 103 miles per day, riding as little as 4 hours and as much as 7-8 hours every day! I met several great people while doing this ride. It was an incredible experience, something that I will be able to talk about for the rest of my life. A big thank you for all those who supported me last year for CAR 5, I couldn't have experienced the ride without your help, THANK YOU!
I want to experience the ride again on CA AIDS Ride 6. I need your help to be able to ride, you will also help those who need HIV/AIDS services provided by the SF AIDS Foundation. Please make a pledge today!
