A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Devotional Web Site

A Favorite Subject of Mine, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel !

And, lovers of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel should definitely check out this site. (Just click on the picture.) I have a little dog like this named Emma.

Mary Queen of Scotts, a supposed rival of  Elizabeth I of England was beheaded. Within the folds of her clothes, her cherished dog followed her to the execution: it was a Cavalier, a true companion. Grief-stricken at Mary's death, the dog would not be consoled, and died soon thereafter. If you would have A True Companion, you could not do better than a Cavalier.

Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotts, and the scene of  her execution.

Victoria I, Queen of England, had a favorite dog, Dash, who died on Christmas Eve. She wrote a poem and an epitaph for  Dash, who displayed great devotion, and was the "true Cavalier":

Which of us would not like to have that said in reference to ourselves? (Pictures of Dash may be seen in the discussion of the "Cavalier Resurrection." See the link below.)

Or, click here to see a painting of Dash now.

If you are a Macintosh User, you should download Kaleidoscope (Shareware) from
http://www.kaleidoscope.net
Kaleidoscope has the ability to completely change your Macintosh's appearance: the folders, the icons, the desktop, the progress bar, the dialog boxes, the windows. All it takes is a double-click on a Kaleidoscope scheme, if you're using System 8. If you're using System 7.x, you may need to restart your computer. It's so easy that I sometimes change schemes several times a day!

Also, Martha Royer, who creates beautiful color schemes (Shareware)  for Kaleidoscope, has designed one she calls "Cavalier." In it, my dog Emma has been given the place of honor. Her picture appears on most of the folder icons as well as elsewhere. Get "Cavalier" and Martha Royer's other beautiful Schemes  at http://www.kaleidoscope.net/schemes/authors/martharoyer.shtml. Martha has so many Kaleidoscope schemes that they take up more than one page. You can also find Martha's schemes at http://www.kaleidoscope.net/schemes/authors/martharoyer2.shtml.
Or, you can visit Martha Royer's own site at http://members.icanect.net/~royerm/
Martha designs custom schemes for her registered users. She will prepare one for your family if you like. See examples on her web site. Also, you should check out the beautiful Victorian Art she designs, and she can place pictures of you and your friends in these works.

Some of  her schemes were created in collaboration with noted watercolor artist Jean Hanamoto, who also has her own web site at http://www.garlic.com/~artworks/ArtNGarlic/
Garlic is featured, as Jean lives in Gilroy, the Garlic Capitol of the world, and home of the yearly Garlic Festival. GARLIC has never been more artistically presented.

I'm looking for artistic paintings in digital form of  King Charles II of England with his beloved spaniels, from which the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel takes its name. So, if you have such a picture, or if you know of such a site, please e-mail me and let me know. Painters of the latter 1600s, such as Reubens, Titian, Van Dyck, and Reynolds,  are supposed to have painted Charles II and his spaniels.

Here are His Majesty, Charles II of England, and a panorama of a scene from the Reign of Charles II, 1660-1685.
