ZELDA, PAST & PRESENT
So, you're really caught up in Zelda? Don't forget to play these games. They may be old, but each one is fun!
The Legend of Zelda (NES) - 1987
Needless to say, this game was a legend in itself. It was a revolutionary game set to shape the gaming world for years to come, and set a standard nobody but the creator himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, could acheive.
Legend of Zelda
was sold in gold, and it truly was a golden game. It was the first game by Nintendo to sell over a million copies in the U.S., as well as the first RPG-style game in America for Nintendo. It was the first game to have a battery so you could save your progress.

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - 1988
Zelda II
was the first game to use Link in the title of the game, as it was finally released after "shortages in chips." It had a new style of play in the game, which was not as accepted as in the first Legend. The game frequently switched to a side-scrolling screen, as well as he was able to use magic and to jump. It was very similar to an RPG, as in the game Link gathers Magic, Attack abilities, and experience from defeating evil henchmen.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - 1992
Zelda 3
was the first Zelda installment for the Post-NES days. However, this game was widely accepted, as the bird's-eye view was restored and the game had a much larger world and nicer graphics. Not only that, but the gameplay was awesome. It is the greatest game of all time for the SNES, and one of the greatest of all time.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - 1993
Link's Awakening
is hailed by many as the greatest Game Boy game of all time. It is one of the largest Game Boy games ever created, and kept the bird's-eye view that is so loved. Each level appears much like the first
Zelda
game.

Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time - 1998
About 5 years since the previous
Zelda
installment, Link returns in a quest from the mere beginnings of Hyrule and takes place before all of the other quests. The game is done in full 3-D, and it takes Link in his first quest to stop Ganondorf both as a 10-year old boy, and also travels to the future to a time when he is 17 years old. The game is a masterpiece by Shigeru Miyamoto, and is hailed as "Game of the Century".
