Yay! No more school work!
Mood:  down
Now Playing: "Solitude" by Evanescence on "NoAlbum"
Topic: School
I wish. I still have my senior project to work on. *sigh* So completely and utterly not in the mood to do that. I did finish my paper for Anthropology and it ended up being exactly 4 pages. I didn't bother proof reading it. I really just didn't give a damn anymore. It's amazing how crappy weather can bring you down.

Have I mentioned that I hate Analysis?
Now Playing: "Overture" by Original London Cast on "The Phantom of the Opera"
Topic: School
I have? Well, I still hate it. Analysis final tomorrow at 10am. *GULP!*
I went through and looked at all the assigned problems. I could only do about a third of them. Can we say "Mandy is screwed"? I tried to go over all the ones I skipped this afternoon but after like 4 problems I had trouble concentrating because I was just so mathed out.

After the final I work from 3-7. It's been awhile since I've done an afternoon shift. Even longer since I've done graveyard. But it'll be good because I'll read Gorillas in the Mist more and hopefully get close to finishing. 193 pages in 4 hours? It's possible. Not probable since I'll actually have to work and stuff for at least two of those hours. At this point I just need to be done with the book so I can start the report. Cause to get C's in two classes would really suck. Oh, and my body has some of the worst timing in the world. But it does explain somethings. Anyway, off to bed now because one must always get a good night's rest prior to a final.

8.5 hours in the library
Mood:  rushed
Now Playing: "I Wanna Know What Love Is" by Foreigner on "NoAlbum"
Topic: School
Looked at 50 out of 110 assigned problems for Analysis. Managed to solve about half of those. Granted, some I said "I don't quite remember how to do" because they were collected problems and then looked at my homework and went "Oh okay, that sounds familiar but complicated...I'll look back at it later." Also managed to read the second chapter of Gorillas in the Mist. 40 pages down, 200 to go.

I really must try to sit up straight when I'm in the library that long. My back is hurting in this one spot from all that leaning over. But it feels like it just needs a good crack. Too bad it just refuses to do so. Which is probably a good thing since cracking is bad for you. It's like everything else that is bad for you: you know it's bad but it feels/tastes soooo good.

Anyway, for tonight after dinner and tomorrow, I'll be going through the rest of the problems and then hopefully going through all the ones I didn't get. yeah, right. If I manage to get a C in this class, I'll be shocked.

Study time
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: "Anytime You Need A Friend" by Mariah Carey on "Music Box"
Topic: School
Unlike yesterday, I managed to get my butt to the library to study. Alright, I got there later than I wanted but I did put in a solid 8 hours. During that time I "finished" my Analysis homework and copied down all the definitions and theorems for the quarter (6 pages worth, wrist hurts now). I say "finished" because for the two that had hints in the back, I didn't actually understand fully but just wrote down what was in the back and attempted to justify it. I really didn't feel like wasting any more time on it.

Tomorrow I'll be spending all day in the library again (and actually leaving on time). I hope to go through most of assigned problems in Analysis and read for Anthropology (225 pages left to read, 4-6 pages left to write (aka all of it)). And somewhere in all of this I need to write an introduction of my senior project, add some references and make corrections. I really screwed myself on this didn't I? I mean, I've known about this book report since day one of class. *sigh* Curse my procrastination.

FUCK!
Mood:  down
Topic: School
I thought London study would be offering an area F GE for next Fall but they are not. Instead, they are offering a D3 and two D5s. Argh! So what does this mean for me? Here are my options:
1) Go to London, take the D5, C4 and a "fun" class and take the D2 and F next quarter for a total of 16 units.
2) Go to London, take the D5, C4 and a "fun" class and take either the D2 and F next quarter and take the other over summer. (Most likely F next quarter, D2 in summer).
3) See if I can get an extra D5 to count as a D2 and take two D5s in London and take the F next quarter.
4) Not go to London and take all 3 remaining GEs at Cal Poly.

My choice for the options is 3, 2, 1, 4. I really don't like to take 16 units a quarter (especially with a class that has a lab), and being Math Club President during Spring quarter is going to be so stressful. Have to deal with Open House, Yosemite and the Banquet. Oh, and all the normal events too. *whimper* So if I could avoid summer school and the 16 units next quarter, that would be ideal. Summer school does make things more expensive but it would help my stress levels. And not going at all would just suck. *sigh* Must talk to...someone...about seeing if I can get a D5 to count as a D2.

I passed! I passed!
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: "The Lover After Me" by Savage Garden on "Affirmation"
Topic: School
I got this e-mail from my English professor I had last quarter:
Amanda:

I graded the WPEs this weekend. Yours was one of the essays I read, and,
like the other reader (all tests are read twice), I gave your essay a
passing score. Knowing something of what your struggles have been and
what this passing grade means to you, I wanted to offer you my
congratulations, and wishes that the rest of your time at Poly be happier.

--Dr. Cushing

Oh, I am so happy I passed!

How to not be productive
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: "All The Young Dudes" by World Party on "Clueless"
Topic: School
So instead of working on senior project stuff all day, or writing my grandma or sending Meghan, as I had needed to do, I spent about, oh, 8-10 downstairs watching tv and crocheting. (The scarf ended up being about the same since I had to pull twice and got very stuck on undoing on stitch). And I also accepted an invitation to go over to Nick and Joe's for sushi tomorrow at 3. Why 3 I have no idea. Dr. Morrison is not going to be happy with me on Monday. Oy vey, not at all. *sigh* Why is it so impossible for me to get anything done on the weekend?

Please please let me have passed!
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: "Love Is" by Brian McKnight & Vanessa Williams on "Beverly Hills, 90210 - The Soundtrack"
Topic: School
Just got back from the WPE. It went okay I suppose. It would have been better if I didn't have to wipe my nose every other minute. The topic was about the "gap year" that more high school seniors are taking before college and if it benefits the students.
I said that it didn't because there's a chance they skip college altogether and then they are limited when their life falls apart later. And the main reason to take the year off was travel which you can just do by studying abroad. Somehow I managed to write 5 short paragraphs. No clue if it was long enough as I only had written on about 2.5 pages and they were saying that it should be about 3 pages. *sigh* Please, please please let me pass.

Topic: School
I think I can officially say that I'm sick. I was trying to convince myself that it was allergies yesterday but my allergies don't get this bad. Conjested and a slightly sore throat. And all this the day before the graduation dependent bullshit promoting WPE. So you all can except a lovely rant about that tomorrow afternoon or late night.

How Ironic (Or "My, how the tables have turned!")
Now Playing: (*gasp!* NOT "Phantom" music!) "Where Will You Go" by Evanescence on "NoAlbum"

In today's Math Club meeting, our advisor came in a few minutes late. He took one of the few open seats in the front. He sits down. About 2 seconds later, his cell phone goes off and he leaves to answer it.
