I have? Well, I still hate it. Analysis final tomorrow at 10am. *GULP!*
I went through and looked at all the assigned problems. I could only do about a third of them. Can we say "Mandy is screwed"? I tried to go over all the ones I skipped this afternoon but after like 4 problems I had trouble concentrating because I was just so mathed out.

After the final I work from 3-7. It's been awhile since I've done an afternoon shift. Even longer since I've done graveyard. But it'll be good because I'll read Gorillas in the Mist more and hopefully get close to finishing. 193 pages in 4 hours? It's possible. Not probable since I'll actually have to work and stuff for at least two of those hours. At this point I just need to be done with the book so I can start the report. Cause to get C's in two classes would really suck. Oh, and my body has some of the worst timing in the world. But it does explain somethings. Anyway, off to bed now because one must always get a good night's rest prior to a final.

Last night I took Matt and Leigh out to Woodstocks as a thank you for coming to the hospital for me a week and a half ago. Afterwards, we went back to their place and watched Spies Like Us with Chevy Chase and Dan Ackrod. It was actually a pretty funny movie.

However, right as it was ending, I started to feel the pain again. Idiot that I am, I didn't bring any Maalox with me but Leigh said that baking soda mixed with water can be used as an antacid. I was skeptical at first but there directions on the box. So I took some of that and went outside for a bit to get fresh air. After a bit when it still didn't go away, I went and had another glass. Still no effect. The guys searched their all their meds and I had some of a pepto bismo equivalent. Still nothing. The only good news was that I wasn't quite hyperventalating. I was focusing on my breathing to help avoid panic though. After a good half hour with the pain not leaving, I asked to be taken home so I could try the Maalox. I would have driven myself but God forbid it got worse during that seven minutes...I just preferred to not. So Matt dropped me off where upon I immediately took some Maalox. After a little bit, the pain lessened but was still present. I took one more gulp of Maalox and then said that I was not shoving any more antacid meds down my throat. I did take my normal meds and after burp started to feel a little better but it was still present. Since nothing else was working, I decided to lie down for a bit and then stand up since that's how the pain went away on its own before I went to the ER. I don't know why, but the lying down seemed to have worked because I started to feel a bit better. Totally contrary to what should have happened. I then stood up and there was still a slight lingering pain but finally bearable. I decided I was good enough to just sleep it off. This was a little after 11. The pain started a little before 10. Over an hour of pain but thank God the pain wasn't nearly as bad as it was that first time and that I wasn't hyperventalating.

So the night I take my friends out to thank them for being there for me on the night of my worst attack, I suffer my longest attack. At least I had my friends to help me again and I think just their presence calmed me enough to not hyperventalate again.

Lesson to be learned here: If there is even a remote chance of me eating something, bring antacid with me.

Looked at 50 out of 110 assigned problems for Analysis. Managed to solve about half of those. Granted, some I said "I don't quite remember how to do" because they were collected problems and then looked at my homework and went "Oh okay, that sounds familiar but complicated...I'll look back at it later." Also managed to read the second chapter of Gorillas in the Mist. 40 pages down, 200 to go.

I really must try to sit up straight when I'm in the library that long. My back is hurting in this one spot from all that leaning over. But it feels like it just needs a good crack. Too bad it just refuses to do so. Which is probably a good thing since cracking is bad for you. It's like everything else that is bad for you: you know it's bad but it feels/tastes soooo good.

Anyway, for tonight after dinner and tomorrow, I'll be going through the rest of the problems and then hopefully going through all the ones I didn't get. yeah, right. If I manage to get a C in this class, I'll be shocked.

Unlike yesterday, I managed to get my butt to the library to study. Alright, I got there later than I wanted but I did put in a solid 8 hours. During that time I "finished" my Analysis homework and copied down all the definitions and theorems for the quarter (6 pages worth, wrist hurts now). I say "finished" because for the two that had hints in the back, I didn't actually understand fully but just wrote down what was in the back and attempted to justify it. I really didn't feel like wasting any more time on it.

Tomorrow I'll be spending all day in the library again (and actually leaving on time). I hope to go through most of assigned problems in Analysis and read for Anthropology (225 pages left to read, 4-6 pages left to write (aka all of it)). And somewhere in all of this I need to write an introduction of my senior project, add some references and make corrections. I really screwed myself on this didn't I? I mean, I've known about this book report since day one of class. *sigh* Curse my procrastination.

Granted some of these people left for co-ops or were not here over summer but some of those numbers are utterly pathetic. Okay, I fully admit that Remedy tickets can be a pain to fill out but for Annie to have only resolved 303 documented cases in over 2 years? That is ridiculous! I even noticed that a ticket she did resolve (*gasp!*) was reopened and therefore automatically assigned to her. I wonder if she knows it. I doubt it. I wonder why she gets under my skin so much. Dan used to do that. I guess because I haven't worked with him in a while and now work every day with Annie. Also, Dan's work ethic has picked up a little bit once he was passed over for promotion this summer. But is kind of nice to know that there's proof that I do do my job.

(BTW, is anyone keeping track of how many times I complain about this? ;-P)

So I was trying to pick a restaurant to take Matt and Leigh out to so in the end I went the names in a bag way. And just for fun I threw in Lighthouse and Vista Grande and said I would be hysterical with laughter if either one was picked.

Yard Sale

This morning was the Math Club Yard Sale. We made $216.50!! (Well, as soon as Jaime gives me the $15 for the armchair).

While we did sell a lot, some of the things that didn't sell surprised me. The copy machine and scanner for example. And the furinture was severely undersold. By the end we couldn't sell the couch. One woman was interested but couldn't transport it to Santa Maria and neither could we. In the end, we were going to put in the back of Tami's car for the short drive to the Good Will donation center but then Laura and her roommates decided that they would take it. I asked them how much they would pay for it and they were like "What? Fuck that. We don't want it if we have to pay." I had to argue for a minute saying that they were getting a whole freaking couch and they could at least pay a dollar or two. In the end I got $1.25 for it. The armchair Jaime sat on the entire time she "worked" the sale she decided to buy because she found it comfy. She's giving $10 for it but we're charging a $5 delivery fee since it did inconvience Tami to bring it to her house. Then the two chairs we were also going to just give to Good Will but Rebecca decieded that she wanted them. Priced at $4 each, she only had $5. Although she did give $20 for the couch she traded out (she took the one Dr. Goldenberg donated and donated her couch instead). So what should have been $50-$60 worth of furniture sold for $21.25.

For about 5 hours worth of work, $215 dollars isn't bad at all. Now only if I didn't burn my face, it would have been absolutely great.

I ended up being not able to get an appointment with a specialist yesterday so I went to student health instead. The doctor there said to not lie down within 3 hours of eating, not to eat too much in one sitting and if I start to feel the pain again, to take liquid antiacid. I bought Maalox from the center while I was there. He also said, just to be safe, to come see him again in a month and to note any times I do get the pain, if at all of course. I have not had any more chest pains and have been breathing fine. I have been having little burps a lot though. My mom made me an appointment with a specialist while I'm in LA for spring break though just to be sure of everything.

In short, everything is a-ok.

I thought London study would be offering an area F GE for next Fall but they are not. Instead, they are offering a D3 and two D5s. Argh! So what does this mean for me? Here are my options:
1) Go to London, take the D5, C4 and a "fun" class and take the D2 and F next quarter for a total of 16 units.
2) Go to London, take the D5, C4 and a "fun" class and take either the D2 and F next quarter and take the other over summer. (Most likely F next quarter, D2 in summer).
3) See if I can get an extra D5 to count as a D2 and take two D5s in London and take the F next quarter.
4) Not go to London and take all 3 remaining GEs at Cal Poly.

My choice for the options is 3, 2, 1, 4. I really don't like to take 16 units a quarter (especially with a class that has a lab), and being Math Club President during Spring quarter is going to be so stressful. Have to deal with Open House, Yosemite and the Banquet. Oh, and all the normal events too. *whimper* So if I could avoid summer school and the 16 units next quarter, that would be ideal. Summer school does make things more expensive but it would help my stress levels. And not going at all would just suck. *sigh* Must talk to...someone...about seeing if I can get a D5 to count as a D2.
