"I missed you so much." Hannah said.
Lydia let go of Hannah and lead her into the house.
"So, you said that you and Nick decided to move out, right?" Lydia asked.
The two girls were eating lunch and catching up on everything.
"Well, um, that's kind of a lie." Hannah began.
Lydia looked at Hannah confused, and told her to explain.
"Nick and me fought constantly. One night, he said something really mean to me, and I started crying-"
"You cried over a guy?! That's not like you." Lydia interrupted.
Hannah blushed a little.
"Nick's not just any guy. He makes me feel like I care about him so much, then he does the little thing and I am angry." she said laughing lightly, "This sounds so crazy. So anyways, after he made me cry, I told him I was going to look for a new apartment. But, the next day I woke up and I was wicked sick. For the next 2 days, Nick took care of me. We laughed, talked, watched movies, shared ice cream." she giggled.
"On the third day something changed though. We had been with each other so much and we were actually enjoying the time. So we were sitting playing games and talking. And we kind of admitted we liked each other, then he kissed me. And it wasn't any kiss. I felt like I was back in middle school. Butterflies in my stomach and all."
Lydia sat there with a smirk on her face.
"Are you crazy?"
"What?!" Hannah laughed.
"Hannah, when's the last time you feel in love? High school? Maybe even before that. This is exactly what you need! You need a Prince Charming." Lydia cried out.
"Nick's no Prince Charming ... although, he's damn close!"
Lydia and Hannah laughed but then a Lydia wondered something.
"So why'd you leave?" she asked lightly.
"I don't know, it would have changed everything." Hannah said.
Lydia shook her head disapprovingly, "Change isn't always bad."
"I don't know what I did wrong." Nick pouted.
"Maybe it had nothing to do with you. Maybe she didn't want a relationship." Brian said handing Nick a soda and sitting down across from him.
An hour ago, Nick had showed up at Brian's door, looking depressed.
"It's not like she didn't like kissing me, if she didn't she would have pulled back, right? And now she's in Rhode Island." he said taking a gulp of his soda.
"Rhode Island?"
"Yeah, that's where her best friend lives. All she left was a phone number." Nick said sadly.
Brian kicked off his shoes, "Call her and tell her you miss her."
"She's not that type of girl who will just come running back into your arms when I call and say I miss her. I need to do something special." Nick thought out loud.
"Go to Rhode Island." Brian suggested.
Nick shook his head no, "Too typical."
Nick sat a minute longer, thinking of how he could get her back. Then a smile spread across her face.
"I know how to get her back."
