"Yeah well until I got to know her, I didn't." Nick said.
Brian dribbled the ball across the court and tossed it to Nick.
"So are you gonna date her or what?"
Nick shrugged and dribbled the ball.
"I mean, I haven't really thought about it. I kissed her then she was worried I would get sick, but I didn't care. Then I kissed her a few more times, Then we just sat there and talked. I think we were both lost on what to say or do. That's when I got called into the meeting. I got home around midnight, and went to bed. When I woke up, she was still asleep, so I didn't want to bother her. So I left a note telling her I was coming over here, so I really haven't talked to her."
Brian walked over to the side of the court, and grabbed his water bottle. He took a big gulp of it, then sat down on the bench.
"Well do you love her?" Brian asked.
"Love?" Nick thinking he had never even thought of anything like that.
"I don't think I love her, yet. I am falling in love with her though and it's happening fast."
Brian nodded, "Does she love you?"
"No, I am just starting to think she can tolerate me." he said laughing sadly.
Nick drove home and went into the apartment.
"Hannah?" he called out.
She showed up from the kitchen and smiled at him.
"Hey." he said placing his keys down.
"Hi." she said shyly, "Have fun at Brian's?"
Nick nodded and stepped a little closer to him.
"Yeah, but I missed you." he said leaning in and letting his lips lightly brush hers.
She smiled a little and took a step back.
"Um, I think we should talk." she said.
