"I didn't mind at all. Can I use your phone? I need to call Gab for a ride."
"I will bring you back to the dorm." he offered.
"Okay, thanks." Julia said as they walked out the front door.
They got into one of Nick's cars and drove towards the college. When they got there, Julia invited Nick to come over for a while. He said he would, and the two set off into the dorm. When Julia and Nick opened the door, they were greeted by Gabriella and AJ on the couch kissing.
"Sorry Gab." Julia giggled as the two fumbled to sit up.
Nick started laughing along with Julia, "Sorry AJ."
"So, uh, what are you to up to?" Gabriella asked trying to change the topic.
"Nothing, I just helped Nick pack." Julia said sitting down in one of the chairs near the couch.
"You excited for tonight?" Gabby asked Julia.
"What's tonight?" Nick asked.
"Oh, nothing. I am just meeting a friend for dinner." Julia said casually, ignoring the I-know-you-like-Nick look from Gabby.
"So I see you two are catching up before he leaves." Julia remarked.
"Funny Jul, real funny." Gabby said giving a fake smile.
"Sorry to break up this little party, but I have to go take a shower so I am at least half ready for tonight. Nick, will you stay here till I'm out, so I can say good-bye?" Julia asked.
"Sure."
So Julia walked off to the bathroom and soon they heard the shower turn on and Julia humming some song.
"So...getting a little action from Julia?" AJ teased.
"Shut up, and no I'm not since we're only friends." Nick glared.
About 10 minutes later, Julia came out in a bathrobe.
"I gotta get going now." Nick said standing up, "Bye Gabby, I'll see you tonight at the airport."
"I hope you have a safe trip, and I will see you when you get home." Julia said to Nick.
"Thanks, I will call you this week." he said.
Julia stepped forward and hugged him warmly, "Bye."
"Bye Julia."
Nick left, and Julia went to go finish getting ready. Forty-five minutes later, she stepped out of her room, just as AJ was getting up to leave.
"I hope you have fun on your trip." she said.
"Thanks." he said lightly hugging her, "I will see you at the end of the week." AJ said.
He kissed Gabby good-bye and as he was walking out, Devon showed up at the door.
"Hey!" Julia said happy to see him.
"Hi, you look beautiful." he said stepping inside the room.
"Thanks, this is my friend, Gabriella."
Gabby and Devon exchanged hellos then Julia and him set off.
At Moochalini's, an expensive Italian restaurant, they were seated right away because Devon had made reservations. They both ordered their dinner, then began to talk.
"So what are you studying?" Julia asked.
"I'm going for my Ph.D. in Medicine. You?" Devon asked.
"Psychology."
"Do you live in the dorms too?" she asked.
"Yeah."
They continued talking about family, movies and favorite past times. Then their food came. After they finished eating, they split the bill then went for a walk back to the college. As they were walking along Devon took Julia's hand in his. She smiled at him as they continued walking on, hand in hand. They got to her door, and she turned to him.
"I had a really nice time tonight." she said.
"Yeah me too. Are you free Tuesday?" he asked.
"I can be." she smiled flirtatiously.
"Then will you go out with me on Tuesday?" he asked.
"Yeah. Call me okay?" she said.
"Okay."
Devon leaned down and kissed her lightly, just brushing his lips against hers.
"Goodnight." he said.
"Night." she said as she went in the room and closed the door.
