"Hey Leigh! I miss ya, how have you been?" AJ said.
"Pretty good, how are you?" she replied.
"Eh, I'm living." he joked. Leigh laughed a little.
"Wanna go out, we haven't seen each other in a while." he offered.
"I'd love to. I'll come over in a few minutes." she said and with that, she hung up the phone.
About 20 minutes later, Leigh pulled into AJ's driveway. She rang the doorbell and AJ opened the door with his puppy in his hand.
"Hey Leigh. I've missed ya!" he said as he tried to hug her, and juggle the dog in his hand. She just laughed at him.
They decided to watch a new release, in AJ's little movie theater, in his house. After the movie, she went home. Over that week, her and AJ spent almost everyday together, and they were getting closer.
One night, Nick called up Leigh and asked her, if she wanted to go out to dinner with him, Anna and the rest of the guys. She said yes, and she went. Howie, Kevin, Nick, AJ, Brian, Anna and Leigh all showed up.
As they were eating, AJ asked Leigh to dance, she said yes and they excused himself. Then Kevin and Anna went to dance too. Nick slumped down into his seat and played with his food.
"Man, what is wrong with you? We all know your crazy about her! Why don't you tell her?" Brian sighed.
"Is it that obvious I like her?" Nick asked.
Howie just laughed at him.
"I tried to tell her, and she said she wasn't ready for a relationship." he said, glancing out at Leigh on the dance floor.
"She is ready, you just need to make her see how much you care for her." Howie said.
Nick looked back to the table.
"She looks so happy with AJ though." he complained.
Brian looked at the two, and saw how close they were dancing. He felt bad for his friend. After the dance was over, AJ and Leigh slid in the seat, and sat between AJ and Nick. She noticed how sad he looked and she nudged him.
"Wanna go dance?" she offered, hoping to cheer him up.
"Nah, I don't feel like it right now. Maybe later." he said.
Leigh just shrugged her shoulders and wished he would cheer up.
