"I'm going to bed." she said.
"Ok..." he said still concentrated on his papers.
"I love you." Leigh said.
"Yeah, love you." he said not taking his gaze off the desk.
The minute Leigh got to her room, she burst into tears. She buried her face deep in a pillow trying to quiet her deep sobs. Anna came in and sat by Leigh.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?" she asked concerned for Leigh.
"Me and Nick. There's nothing there anymore. I mean, he's not in love. It all started when we moved in together. Do you know when the last time he really kissed me was? We are...just, I don't know..." Leigh said through tears.
Anna hugged her friend.
"It will all work out once these few weeks are over. You are both just really busy right now." she said trying to convince Leigh.
"I don't know, but thanks. I just want to be alone to think, sorry." Leigh said as kind as she could.
So Anna got up and left Leigh alone.
About half an hour later, Leigh had packed all the things she needed. She walked down to the office and walked in. Nick looked up at her a smiled.
"Hey." he said.
Leigh sat down and placed her bag next to her.
"Nick, ever since we moved in together, our relationship has suffered. It's practically disappeared. We hardly ever see each other, and we never talk anymore. So I am moving out. And I think we should stop seeing each other for a while, just till we both have more time or something." Leigh said trying to keep her voice steady.
Nick's eyes got really wide.
"No. No, don't do this Leigh. I love you. We have just had a few bad weeks!" he said hoping to persuade her to stay.
"Nick, just don't. Please." Leigh said standing up and walking out of the room. Nick got up and followed her out.
"Leigh, please, I'm sorry." Nick begged.
Leigh didn't say anything, she just walked outside and shut the door. Tears streamed down her face once she closed the door. And closed Nick out of her life.
Nick sat down in a daze, not really believing what was happening. He had just watched the girl he loved walk out of his life.
