"Hello lovely lady." Brian said kissing her on the cheek.
"Oh, Leigh has to see this!" Anna said trotting off to Nick's room.
She got Leigh up and dragged her into the kitchen. The sight of the two cooking and whistling, in their boxers, was too much. The girls burst into laughter again.
After breakfast, Brian and Anna went to spend the day together.
"What do you want to do today?" Leigh asked Nick after she had cleaned her dishes.
"I have a meeting I have to be at in 20 minutes, so I gotta leave now." Nick said kissing her cheek good-bye.
Leigh went and spent the day shopping and visiting with her Mother.
That night, when she got back, Anna was going to spend the night at Brian's house.
"Want to go to the movies?" Leigh suggested to Nick, since they would have all night.
"Leigh, I'm really sorry. I need to go over these new songs, so I am going to be in the office all night." he said lightly kissing her cheek and walking down the hall.
Leigh plopped down the on the couch and soon fell asleep.
The next 5 days passed by quickly, each day the same.
Nick either spending the whole day in the office or at meetings or practices. Leigh stayed in the house, or went out. And Brian and Anna were together.
The next day, Leigh was in her room studying for final exams when there was a knock at her door.
"Yeah, come in." she called out from her bed.
Nick walked in and sat down next to her.
"I haven't talked or seen you lately." he said.
"I know..." she said flipping through some science papers.
"So, how are you?" Nick asked.
"Busy...I have to go to the library. But I will be back later. Okay?" Leigh said grabbing her papers and kissing him on the nose.
Then she left.
A few hours later, she came home. As she was walking in, Brian was walking out.
"Hey, where are you going without Anna by your side?" she joked.
"BSB are having a meeting that we are going to be in all afternoon." he said.
"Oh ... tell Nick I said hi." she said.
"I will. Bye!" Brian said walking off.
Leigh walked in and sat down on the couch. She watched movies and studied most of the afternoon.
When Nick got home that night, he went over and sat down next to Leigh.
"Hey stranger." Leigh said.
"Yeah, I know. I've been so busy lately." he replied.
"Yeah...but! Tomorrow I took the day off from school and studying, to spend the day with you." she said gloating.
Nick's face dropped, "I have my flight to Miami tomorrow, I thought I told you." he said sadly.
"You didn't. How long are you leaving for?" she asked.
"Four days." he replied glumly.
"Oh." Leigh said.
"Don't worry. Once this week passes things will calm down." he said comforting her.
"Yeah, I hope..." Leigh said.
"I have to go pack." he said getting up.
Leigh nodded as he walked off.
