"Mom, this is Jane Carter, Nick's mother." Leigh said.
"It's nice to finally meet you." Helen said shaking Jane's hand.
"Nice to meet you too! We should have gotten together sooner. Please sit down." Jane said walking towards the couch.
After they were all sitting down, Leigh decided to tell her mother.
"You know how I was so upset about Anna having to move? Well, Nick did some planning and stuff, and he is going to move in with Anna, so she doesn't have to move away. And then we were talking about how I am only going to live with you for another 2 months, because then I will be finished with school. So I was thinking ... maybe I could move in with Anna and Nick?" Leigh asked.
Helen thought a minute.
"I have no problem with it." Helen said.
Nick and Leigh thanked their mothers. For the next 2 weeks, Nick, Anna and Leigh did a lot of house hunting, shopping and packing.
About half a week later, Brian, Nick, Anna, Leigh, Leigh's Mom, Nick's Mom and Anna's parents were there on moving day. Luckily, they were only moving 4 blocks away.
They had picked out a beautiful one floor house, overlooking the ocean. On the left leg of the house, there was two rooms, that were connected by a door and there was a bathroom. Then in the middle of the house, one side was the kitchen and the other side was the living room. There was a room off of the living room that went into a little office. Then on the right leg of the house, there was another bedroom and bathroom.
Within 4 days, they were completely moved in and settled. Anna and Leigh had the connecting rooms, and Nick had the one on the other end of the house.
That night, they invited Brian over to hang out. They watched TV and played video games all night. Then around 1 am, Anna invited Brian to stay the night. He said he would and Leigh was going to sleep in Nick's room, since Brian would be in hers. So Anna and Brian went off to one end of the house and Nick and Leigh went off to the other. Nick got into bed, and Leigh went to go get a drink.
In the other room, Anna was snuggled warm in her bed when she heard the other room's door click open and the sound of someone tiptoeing across the floor. A second later, Anna felt Brian climb in her bed.
"My feet are cold." he whispered.
Anna rubbed her feet against his.
"Better?" she giggled.
"Much." he said, "Want me to go back to Leigh's room?"
"No...as long as you don't steal all the blankets." Anna laughed.
Brian brushed a piece of Anna's hair behind her ear.
"Anna?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you." Brian said for the first time.
"I love you too."
Anna snuggled up against him. They both felt so happy right then. It had been fast, but they had both fallen hard.
