When we arrived in Skagway we jumped on a bus and headed through the small town of Skagway and up the White Pass. This was the furthest we went along the road. The scenery was great. In the late 1800s many people passed through here in search of gold. Due to Canadian law, each man had to bring enough supplies for one year. This amounted to 2000 pounds of goods. They carried 50 or so pounds at a time 1 mile at a time. The trek was 33 miles.
