Yes those Colla-Rada Bears left Wash/Griz with an awful taste in their mouths losing 27-16 to the Montana Grizzlies. The Griz had too many weapons, while the Bears had just one, 8D1. Yes #81 may be going to the NFL one day, but one man cannot win a game for you. It takes a team! And what a team the Griz were that sunny Saturday at Wash/Griz. While the stats suck and the D sucked, the D was good. Am I not making sense? Well that's not new, but Colla-Rada had the ball 6X in our red zone and came up with only a few points. 2-goal line stands by our D netted only 3 points for the Bears. While Craig Ochs had a decent first half, my hat is off to Mr. Jeff Disney for answering the call, and coming out and racking up 110 yds in the 4th qtr. And Jeff on a personal note....Thanks for throwing the ball to 6'-4" Jon Talmadge, who was being "covered" all day by a 5'-9" midget. Jon was open on almost all of his routes. On a similar note 6'7" Willie Waldon was only used once as I recollect for about 15 yds. and man did he lower his shoulder and pummel some wimpy 'lil DB. OUCH! Maybe Bobby and crew are saving these guys for the conference games. I can only hope so.

Well hate to say it....but ok I will. SHSU Bearkats kicked our asses 41 to 29. OW! that smarts. They played one of thier best games in the school's history and we showed up and played a half assed game. Very little pressure put on the Bkats QB Long. Our DB's seemed to be always running after the Bkats recvrs. Our OL wasn't giving Ochs enough time....and...and...Oh well. As for a loss, if we're gonna have one, it was perfect timing. Our guys will learn from this, especially going through the films for 12 hours on Monday!

Well...well...welll.... Griz 41 - Hofstra Pride 23. Hofstra...Notstra.... (well it almost rhymes) The ole Pride got a bit gassed at the end of the 2nd half. Ya, we blew some coverage on a play and ya got 6 but your D looked like they'd play'd 4 quarters after the first half. It was then that I smiled and new the Griz would prevail. Jeff and Levandar had great games! Watch out for Talmadge. If they call his number more he'll be reelin 'em in. Craig had a great game surpassing his previous personal best. Great Game by all the Griz. Oh and can we all get off the tailgaters who wish to stay and get drunk rather than get in their seats for the 2nd half kickoff bandwagon. Who gives a shit. They can stay out there and rot, they aren't true Griz Fanz, just socialite wanna bees with no life. I'm sure whatever they are discussing out there at the tailgates is more important than the game itself. LOSERS! MWHaaaa HAW Ha!

Grizzlies Chew On Black Bears
Mood:
party time!
The Griz season opener went off without a hitch. Well almost, the "new" Monte's first tumbling run only scored an 8.4 when he didn't stick the landing. A great crowd witnessed an exceptional Griz team outplay the Maine Black Bears. While the first half was close, I was thoroughly impressed with the returning players as well as the herd of freshmen shuttling in and out of play. Lots of gang tackling and enthusiam by the likes of Jefferson Heidleberger (sp?), really pumped up the team and the crowd. Freshman Chris Carpenter kicked the daylights out of the ball, excluding a game opening kick that went OB, and culminating with a 47 yd. FG!! QB Craig Ochs looked great, like a leader out there. I was rather surprised and impressed with the OC play calling mixing it up, and throwing quite a few short outs. Let's not forget the crowd favorite the shovel pass, which went 1 for 4 for about 2 yds. Way to go Griz, keep up the hard work and I see the offense only getting better. Good guys win 27-20. Now it's Hofstra's turn! Good Luck, you don't stand a chance.

No Wonder People Hate Politicians
Brian Schwietzer's opponents are trying to slam him because he bought two SUV's at Dave Smith's, in Idaho. Brian claims he saved about $5,000 on each vehicle compared to quotes he obtained from Montana dealers. His opponents are crying foul because he's hurting small business in our state! Oh shame!
Apples and Oranges morons....a car dealership is not small business. Small business is the local shoe store, hardware store, clothing store, market, etc., which I'm proud to support, not a multi-million dollar car dealership.
Pssst..just between you and me, Brian... I did the same thing, only I saved approximately $2,500 on a pickup. I predict this bull shit will either fade away or backfire on your opponents.
BTW, I'm neither a friend nor foe of Brian Schweitzer, in fact I don't even no how to spell his last name.

Carbo Diets!
Now the experts are saying enough already, that long term carbo dieting can be harmful. Well duh! The best diet is the most logical. Eat a little bit of everything and excercise, be it walking for 30 min a day, or running a marathon 2X a day. Come on people! Is it just me or generally is mainstream Americana a a bunch of freaks. Let's all jump on the next new bandwagon!!!! I'd like to start a new health kick right now. Drinking diesel cures cancer, come on let's go!

Tony Tony Tony!
I can't believe Tony Moss was so critical to one of the egriz posters on Moose-Hooligan saying that moose watched film of Ochs and studied his every move. This sad sack state's coach who ranted and raved after we kicked his ass last year immediately retorted that he was gonna kick are ass this season. what a joke! as simon would say (british accent) pathetic! UPDATE: Oh now I see that Tony's off to the NFL, that explains his "coming out". Reagan passes away. hmmmm... let me think...ahh yes the '80's lots of jobs, good pay, raises, money $$$, end of the cold war, good by berlin wall, scorpions sing 'winds of change' an awsome song. Gorby acting normal! One of the first russians ever to act like a normal human being. Thanks Gorby! ronny you made us feel good about being american and being connected to God. how i will miss you, thanks for everything you did ron, God Bless. side note....Nancy eat some potatoes my gawd!

I'm thinking about buying a set of tires, cuz a friend of mine at Les Schwab said he thought they were going up UP UP! It's time to go camping. Get the gear ready, fill up the propane tanks and get away from it all.

Those Lady Griz.....
Mood:
happy
What a team! What an effort Saturday night during the first round of the NCAA playoffs. I just wish they could've won. Oh well.... I thought the refs sucked (equally for both teams, except of course the 3 pointer foul called late in the game against the Griz) That was a critical point in the game and should've been a no call. Also the techsters supposedly a 5th seed give me a break, how 'bout #2 or 3? What up Dawg? I felt proud and still feel proud to be a Griz fan. Keep your chins up Ladies!

Hey Check out my Montana Grizzzz Website.....
Just click on the link on the right under the Grizzly links (the one under egriz.com) Sign my guestbook while your there and tell me what you think. Thanks! Ted Nugent's an asshole. He and David Lee Roth should combine each of their brain cells and bow hunt each other to death. Or better yet they could parachute into Afgahnistan with Howard Stern, (all without a chute of course) and the world would be a better place now .. .. .. wouldn't it?

Wayne Hogan Gone?!?!? WTF?
I wonder how and if this will change anything. I hope this does not disrupt in anyway the fine season the Lady Griz are having. I wonder if any of Hogan's Heroes will jump ship with him? Prey Tell (What the hell does Prey Tell mean anywayz? Does it have anything to do with that fine retail record company KTel?)

W*E*L*C*O*M*E
Welcome Griz fans to my blog. Feel free to let your thoughts roll as we discuss the Montna Grizzlies.
Wuts up with Judy Martz's hair doo doo anywayz? What do we as taxpayers pay for her annual hairspray budget? WTF!
Oh and by the way...here are some things to consider when voicing an opinion on U.S. policy:
(1) Between President Bush and Saddam Hussein ... Hussein is the bad guy.
(2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right things, keep this in mind: the UN has Libya heading the Committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here.
