Griz vs. Duke for the all the Marbles....
Mood:  a-ok
As stated below the Griz take on the Dukes in Chatanooga for the NCAA I-AA Championship. Now that's what I like to see, a school who is dumb enough to put themselves on a doormat. Well I think it's very appropriate, as James Madison will be used as a Griz doormat this Friday. The Griz will be wiping the Dookie off their feet after they stomp the crap out of James Madison. With the Cumulutive Team Stats of the Dukes being fairly conservative with an average score of only 27.9 points per game and a total of 390 points vs. the GRIZZ with 36.7 pts per game and a wopping 514 total points, this should be a cake walk. The Griz defense is clicking and the offense is loaded with an array of weapons of mass destruction. The only break the Dukes get is, this game is being played at a neutral site (yeah right! :-) ). Don't tell them that several thousand Griz fans will be in attendance, or they may put their tails between their legs before kickoff. BRING IT ON DOOKIE!

FOLLOW-UP: IMO JMU DID NOT BEAT THE GRIZ. THE GRIZ BEAT THEMSELVES WITH MENTAL MISTAKES. BOTH BY THE PLAYERS AND THE COACHES. 2ND HALF ADJUSTMENTS BY THE GRIZ COACHING STAFF WERE INEFFECTIVE, (INVISIBLE TO ME). WHEN JMU DECIDED TO RUN IT DOWN THE GRIZ THROATS, THE GRIZ NEEDED TO ADJUST TO 8 MEN IN THE BOX RATHER THAN STAYING WITH THE 4 MAN RUSH, ESPECIALLY AGAINST THE JMU FRONT 5 MONSTERS. WHEN OUR RUNNING GAME DIDN'T MATERIALIZE BY THE START OF THE 3RD QUARTER WE SHOULD'VE OPENED UP THE FLARE PASSES, SHORT PASSES TO THE FLATS, ETC. PLAYERS MADE MENTAL MISTAKES BY LETTING THE HORRIBLE FIELD CONDITIONS DISTRACT THEIR PLAY. PERSONAL FOULS AND DROPPED PASSES ALSO WERE MENTAL MISTAKES WHICH AFFECTED THE GAME. BUT HEY! IT WAS A HELL OF A SEASON, THANKS TO THE 2004 MONTANA GRIZZLIES! WHAT A WILD RIDE IT WAS!

Hey Montana, thanks for playing, please accept your parting gift.;-) The Dukes did to you what they did to everyone else this past season - ran it down your throats and held your offense in check. And this was all after a HORRIFIC start to the game - quite uncharacteristic of this team if you check the stats. See ya next year.
