When you have a house and a family, you have to be very protective.  Because if a burglar comes into the house with a weapon, (gun, knife, est.) you have to have a gun to protect yourself until law enforcers come.  If the burglar harms your family, all you have to do is to shoot him/her.
 

Say if you’re a law enforcer, and you’re on an airplane, if a terrorist tries to take over the plane, and you don’t have a gun, what will you do?  Nothing because the terrorist would probably bring in some knives to stab you or something.  And if he stabs you, then you’re dead.  And he would probably go on to crash the plane in some building.
 

Say you’re fighting a war.  If there were no guns around, you have nothing to defend yourself except for probably a bunch of swords.  And with a sword, you would probably die easier.  There would still be weapons if guns weren’t around.  Weapons like knives, swords, bombs, things with sharp edges, axes, and maces.  Without a gun we won’t have any protection against these weapons.
 

Also, guns can be used to kill animals.  When an animal comes and attacks you and you’re gaming without a rifle, you would be dead.  Also, guns help us hunt for food and clothing.  Without a gun, a bear can pop out of nowhere and overpower you and kill you.

Say you have a family with children, and you have a gun lying around like under your bed, the child might be playing and find the gun you have under that bed.  If the child finds the gun and pulls the trigger, he or she might get serious injuries.
 

If you are cleaning your pistol and you accidentally drop you gun, you gun fires and might have hit someone.  This is called an accidental discharge.  Is when a gun accidentally gets dropped and then fires.  To prevent this from happening you must get a trigger lock.
 

Last of all, guns can kill people.  If a lunatic gains control of a gun, that person will probably go around shooting people and killing people.  Guns kill on average, 1,300 people each year.
