The
Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) is an activity contracted out by
the Royal Netherlands Embassy (RNE), in Dar-es-Salaam. The RNE has a long
period of development cooperation in Tanzania in various sectors. It is now
supporting the Tanzanian policies, which strengthen the emerging private
sector. The first secretary, Mr. Frans van Rijn, and the programme manager, Mr.
Steven Collet, monitor the programme.

overall mission of FAIDA BDS is to develop an enterprise culture in Tanzania
and fostering a positive attitude towards business management training and
consultancy services amongst MSME's and the Tanzanian business community for
the development of enterprises, employment creating, value adding and economic
growth. FAIDA BDS seeks to foster appreciating of MSME's amongst different
players in business and the main stakeholders of this sector.
Its
long term objectives are to operate as a client focus, sustainable business
development services organisation for all enterprises with the main focus on
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Tanzania, as well as to contribute to
economic growth through human development by providing the necessary business
management skills, business information, access to finance in an integrated
