You've decided the Alaskan Malamute is the right dog for you. You have researched the breed and feel that you would be able to provide a suitable loving home and your lifestyle will permit you to be able to spend adequate time with the animal.

You will be making a lifetime commitment to your new puppy, your breeder should also be one that makes the same commitment. Remember you will have many questions, this is a LIFETIME commitment on your part so take your time. You will want a breeder that will be available to answer your questions and be there for you when you need them.

Because of the Malamutes intelligence, need of pack\social order, and his need for early socialization, selection of a responsible breeder is of the upmost importance. Not only should the breeder have sound breeding stock, and healthy happy puppies they should also be available to assist you the new owner in adjusting to and training the new member of your family and to take responsibility in either assisting you to relocate the animal or take him back should the purchase of your new pup\dog not work out.
