7th. National Schools Tenpin Bowling Championships 2000 ('B' Divisions)......Look's like we have to settle for the 1st. Runner-Up title again......Once again, our 'B' Division keglers could only settled for the 1st. runner-up title for the 3rd. year in a row. Our keglers have indeed trained very hard, in fact their personal scores has improved tremendously. As in the past, the 'B' division has always been a hard fought events........

cbmark.gif (900 bytes)  Desmond Goh Chin Teck sheer determination has finally paid off. His passion of winning a medal in the Singles Event was in sight after pounding thw lanes with an average of 199.25 pinfalls, good enough to see him through to his first medal in the Singles Event.....

cbmark.gif (900 bytes)  Brandon Lye , trained with the National Youth Development Squad made his first International debut at the 1st International Youth All-Stars held at the Pyramid Bowl, Kuala Lumpur from 13th - 18th December 2000. Despite hitting his personal best of 721 series for four games, averaging of 180.25 wasn't good enough to see him through the finals. When contacted, his personal coach, Mr. Adam Chew was quick to respond and I quote, "As a good bowler, you need exposure like this to gain the experiences, and to compete with the experience bowler, it will certainly improved your personal best. He continued, not many kids of his age will want to compete on International level, especially in different countries." He was indeed very happy with his peformances. The 13 year old kid was quick to response and had this to add "This is my first overseas competetion and rest assured that it won't be last," he continued, "I'll be Back!!!!"

Asian Schools Championships 1998 held at the Orchid Country Club. Our Quartet harvested a Silver and a bronze for the Doubles and another Silver for the Team Events, Aaron Choy took the bronze for the Masters while Tang Loon Yang another Bronze for the All-Events. Well Done! ...

cbmark.gif (900 bytes) Battle won but war was lost....Our 'B' Division boys led by formidable Captain Tan Zhen Han, Tang Loon Yang, Aaron Choy and Bruce Lye Ir-Win could not believed that they lost the Championships Title after they were crowned gold medalist for the Team Events at the 5th National Schools Championships. They clearly derived no joy from the win. For although they had won the battle, they'd lost the war.

They captured almost , I meant almost all the 12 medals at stake missing out the Silver for the Singles and the Bronze for the Team Events.... Well Done Boys, Keep the ACS (I) flag flying!....

cbmark.gif (900 bytes) That's what I called ACS (I) Sheer Domination.... That summed up the performances of our 'C' Division boys at the 3rd National Schools Tenpin Bowling Championships 1996. They blazed the lanes at Victor's Superbowl to win the 'C' Division boys Championships Titles for the 3rd. Succession. They swept all the Golds in the Singles, Doubles, Team and All-Events categories. It also achieved a 1-2-3 finish in the Doubles through Tan Zhen Han/Gerald Tan, Tay Wei Jian/Ng Wei Jin and Aaron Choy/Kevin Loh respectively. The success was repeated in the All-Events as Tan Zhen Han, Gerald Tan and Kevin Loh took the top three positions. Congratulations!!
