WSMN: Can you give us an update on the new Halford album?
PL: Crucible releases June 25th, and will bitch smack your mama. It has some of my best lead work to date. We just shot a video for 'Betrayal' which premiers May 31st on VH1's Rock Show.
WSMN: How does it compare to/differ from Ressurection?
PL:There are variations in style to both ends of the spectrum creatively. It goes from melodic and experimental to extremely heavy.
WSMN: How much of Insurrection was fixed via pro tools? That is the BEST live recording I have ever heard!!!
PL: We had over 30 shows recorded, so we had the luxury of picking the best performances of each song. I wasn't there for mixing, so I don't know what was done during that process. The end result is a record that people want to hear over and over again.
WSMN: How was it working with Tommy Victor from Prong?
PL: I loved collaborating with Tommy, and I hope to do it again soon. We'll be performing together next week in Hollywood, when DM plays along with Prong.
WSMN: How much material did you help him with?
PL: We worked on several things. Early on it was arranging, then writing, and also recording mixing, etc. We reall only completed 'Initiation' before I had to start back with Halford, but there are plans to do more soon.
WSMN: What is the future of Diesel Machine?
PL: We have new material in the works, we had a successful touring stint with Static-X, Soulfly, and Soil. We are all busy, but there is more to come....
