CAMP DIRECTOR:

                                      PENNY McARTHUR JANOWSKI directed the Florida State

                                      University Auxiliary Camp in Tallahassee, FL for 32 years.

                                      While directing the FSU Camp, Penny felt there was a need

                                      for a similar camp in Central Florida. In 1972 she opened

                                      PENNY’S CAMP at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.     

                                      Penny played bassoon in the FSU Concert Band, served as

                                      Head Majorette for the Marching Chiefs her Junior and

                                      Senior year, and is now a member of the FSU Band Alumni

                                      Board.  Her affiliation with the Florida Bandmasters

                                      Association includes serving as an FBA Auxiliary Judge since 

                                      1960, chairman of the Auxiliary Committee for eleven years,

                                      and now serving as a member of the Auxiliary Committee.

                                      In l999 Penny was selected Citizen of the Year by 

                                      the City of Largo for her Contribution to the Youth of Largo.
