29th September 2002

Okay, okay, so I'm a bit slow at getting something on here from Canada, but finally here we are! I have pictures (not many, but I just finished another roll so I can get that one developed this week).

I am having the most wonderful time just bludging around Vancouver and campus, but I've decided it's time I stopped being lazy and got out of town and saw some places! So, next weekend the plan is to go to these hot springs for a couple of days, then the following weekend we're off to Vancouver Island and the city of Victoria over there.

Me and my boys, each attempting to be the tallest at the airport

My lovely parents at the airport with me just before I departed

(almost) the whole family (missing Robert who's off and away in England), Stephen looking grumpy

The Schwoxzies! Karistarista, Rellith, SE-pooh, and Moi!

Me and my Nana, who just rocks, I stayed with Nana in Auckland on my way - I do have pictures of Lyn and Patricia as well, but I haven't scanned those yet, so you'll just have to wait.

A yellow school bus! My first outing in Vancouver with International House, we all went on these buses to a boat cruise around Vancouver downtown at night.

Sarah (from Scotland) down at Wreck Beach, although I'm sure you can't tell that because it's dark, she'd just fallen off a log and I made sure she stayed down there whilst I took her photo (hehehe - evil and malicious laugh...)

Marianne (a Utah-ian) looking very seductive on the left, and Christina (the token Canadian) looking very innocent on the right - not entirely sure why these two were posing just so.

Jade (from San Diego) and Sarah (yes, the same Sarah as before, from Scotland)

Adam the whale-shagger! (we ate a lot of popcorn that week..)

The flag pole at UBC, isn't it pretty?

Marianne and Wreck Beach - I can't believe I live somewhere so beautiful - this whole country is just spectacular!
