THE COMMENTS

I believe that you did the right thing to the group. I play with this one guy who always uses Orks and rushes into the line of fire always getting something shot off. He always buys equipment that he does not have a skill for. Yet, the GM always has a fun time killing him off and screwing him over. Do not have any mercy on characters like Spant.

SPANT!?! =P
I agree with you how you dealt with them. I also played once with such a group. I located the "leader" and got him out of the group said everybody that they have a week fornew charachters and then we will see. It worked!

I totally agree with your way of dealing with SPANT, it just so happens I have encountered a group like this before (they ended up decompressing in a nuclear sub about 400 meters under the sea).

Hey Luther,
You really did have a lame team of runners, however sinking to even near their level is not a good sign for a gamemaster either. 3 minutes is rather fast for a citymaster and rapid response team to get kitted, prepared and on the scene... even if they were on standby and a few blocks away. If the men in the Lonestar Cruiser were killed by 4 missles... and I would think they would have been rether quickly... there would have been little chance for them to report in... and even if bystanders did report the incident it would take at least a minute or 2 for them to do so...
I understand it is hard to be impartial and not get anoyed with the players being dopes like that... but I really think you should have had the players make up there own characters in private... and give each the go ahead before the game... so you arn't caught out like that.
On the up side you aren't playing with them again, you'll do bettter next time... (can't be too big L looser groups like that near you) and you seem to have SR3 down pat already (I only got it 3 weeks ago and I am still reading it... work takes up too much time!!), so what do you think about the running rules... if you have 4 actions and you walk on each action you can move further than if you run????
