All classes were called off and dismissed as of March 17, 2002. At present I have other projects, that are requiring all of my time, and it is impossible for me to continue with these classes. Sorry for any trouble that this might have caused you. There are some great free classes on how to use different software in the hyperlinks that are on these four pages.

Want to brush up on a drawing program ? Below are links to four different classes. The first link leads to many different types of classes. I tried a few and thought they were very good, the sound was not all that great on the free demos, but it stated that the quality was decreased so the programs would download faster. Give it a try. If you go there click on the DEMO button under ONLINE LEARNING.

I am working on some drawings for a childrens book that my sister and her daughter are writing. The drawings directly below are the first that I have submitted for them to think over. If their book gets published it will be the first time my work has been published, but not a first for my sister.
Horsefly
|
|
A little girl, who was raised on a farm and had been around horses all of her life, stood looking up at the horse with wings. Her mother was holding her hand and talking to some friends, not paying much attention to the drawings in this "Children's Art Gallery". As the group started to move on to the next drawing the little girl pulled on her mother's hand, refusing to move on. Her mother was oblivious to her daughters fascination with this drawing and gave another small tug on her daughter's hand. The little girl who was sure her mother had never seen anything like this turned and looked up at her mother and then turned back, to take a last look at the wonderful beast, pointing up at the drawing she informed her mother of her latest discovery Horse fly! Horse fly!

Why does everyone say we look alike ? We don't look anything like each other.

The Gingerbread Girl
|
|
She looks a lot better since she got rid of all that extra dough. Which is kind of funny because the Gingerbread Girl is looking for a fellow with a lot of doe.
What happened to The Gingerbread Boy ?
I heard that he had a spell cast upon him by a wicked witch.

The Gingerbread Girl ?

What happened to The Gingerbread girl?
Looks like that wicked witch turned her back into a cookie, or maybe some dot com executive has started putting girls into cookies.

"The Mountain Scene" I just threw this in because I think it is a great drawing and I want to share it with you.
Be the first to get your limited edition - 1 of 200. These beautiful computer creations will have wet signatures, be professionally matted, and have great frames. They will be hand delivered by the artist anywhere in Southwestern United States for only $500.00 cash in advance. That is a lot less than you can buy a Bob Ross painting for and I don't believe they will let Bob Ross out of Heaven to deliver but you can never tell he was a very special guy. Allow three months for delivery, this amount of time is required to arrange for the limited edition, and having it matted, and framed. The Artist also has to get about $500.00 worth of work done on his Chevy pickup and trailer prior to making any delivery, and he should do a little yard work, which he has been neglecting because of all time he has spent doing these great drawings. Mileage will be charged at fifty cents a mile for all points east of El Paso Texas. The reason for such personel attention is that people with such good taste and $500.00 deserve to be treated with respect. |

"Mountain Lake # 4" Go back up and take another look at the first "Mountain Lake" (above). These two drawings are basically the same. I believe that by placing a dark background and then pulling, or giving the impression of pulling, the water and the image over the top of frame the image has been given a much better presentation .
That is really all I had to say about that, but I like to talk sooo... I am not going to try and define a good drawing because I really don't know what a good drawing is, and I don't believe anybody else does. I think each of us has ideas what we like, and everyone seems to like something different, I guess that is why they have more than one flavor of Ice Cream. However there are people who call themselves experts and they will grade, classify , and tell us what to do, this saves us from having to make a decision all by ourselves, this gives us someone to blame when something goes wrong.. an excuse. There is no getting around the experts opinion they will even tell you which ice cream is best.
Suggestion be careful with experts opinions on money, women, men, cars, education, investment, houses, neighborhoods, stocks, clothes, schools, churches, religions, politics, truth, the law, paint, colors, conservation, energy, retirement, insurance, utilities, children, diet, health, hospitals, and anything else you can think of. Sometimes you must make a decision for yourself, life is a do it yourself sort of thing, you can blame someone else for their advise, but generally it is you that will have to pay for your mistakes. That is what was so great about Bob Ross, there were no mistakes. |
