Tsuzuki Asato, Bishie of the Month

About Tsuzuki;

---Tsuzuki is an shinigami, or, 'god of death,' for those not familliar with the term, and is eternally 26 years old. He was born somewhere around 1900, and is working in the 2nd section of Japan.

---While he is constantly changing partners (Shinigami are required to travel in pairs), Tsuzuki finally accepts Hisoka, a young boy-turned-shinigami, as an main partner. Sometimes, however, Hisoka is off getting into trouble, and Tsuzuki can be paired with one of the bird-like Gushoshin brothers instead, but Hisoka is, for the most part, his most permanant partner.

Good Puppy. *pet pet*

---Tsuzuki, himself, is a rather two-faced shinigami in the sense that he can be unbelievably kwaii and playful one moment, and absolutely morbid the next. This particular man has an enormous sweet-tooth, and you can see him eating interesting things all throughout the series. Tsuzuki's happy-go-lucky, and amazingly cute personality makes him well-liked by everyone at the office and beyond, and even though a lot of people love to tease him (normally by taking his food away), they all do it because of their love of Tsuzuki.

---Even though he doesn't seem to be aware of it, Tsuzuki is one of the most powerful shinigami. He has the ability to summon beasts like Suzaku, the pheonix, and Byakko, the white tiger, among other such things.

---Unfortunately, like most the lives of Bishie's go, Tsuzuki had a tramatic event when he was very young. Having people call him a monster as a result really got to him, and made his soul weak enough for the devil to take over once, and trust me, the devil in Tsuzuki's body is a very bad thing.

---Muraki, one of the main badguys of the series, is completely obsessed with Tsuzuki, and desires Tsuzuki's body, along with Tsuzuki himself. Tsuzuki often gets flustered or even frustrated whenever Muraki makes passes at him, and while he keeps a very defensive and cold wall towards Muraki, Tsuzuki does seem to be a little flattered by the attention, in the way he blushes when Muraki compliments him or makes serious passes. Blaming Muraki for everything that really goes wrong certianly doesn't make for a very good friendship, but Muraki doesn't always seem to mind, and in truth, Muraki does cause a lot of trouble, just so his beloved Tsuzuki will come investigate.

Tsuzuki isn't always *calm* in front of Muraki..

---As for appearances, Tsuzuki's amethyst-colored eyes are very beautiful, and Muraki makes various remarks about them during the series. I could think of no better way to reflect Tsuzuki's many emotions than thru those beautiful amethyst orbs.

---As you've may or may not have noticed, most of the images here show Tsuzuki in his tuxedo outfit from episode 7 in the series. Episode 7 happens to be my personal favorite so far, at least out of what i've seen, for reasons that isn't only limited to the most amazing encounter between Tsuzuki and Muraki that i've seen yet. Putting those two in a room together is quite interesting, but adding a deck of cards so that they may play poker for either information or Tsuzuki's body is also quite the interesting thing to watch.

Lovely Amethyst..

---Beyond Tsuzuki's two-faced nature, he's just an amazing little bishie who does his job even though he doesn't want to hurt people. Tsuzuki's one of those innocent archetype characters who doesn't want to hurt anyone, wants to keep all his promices, and who wants to protect everyone. While his job sometime drives him in the wrong direction, Tsuzuki can get over it with a good piece of cake. You've got to love this one.
