Episodes 1-4!!

Episode 1, "The Girl of Legend":

Miaka Yuki daydreams happily about TONS of food, but realizes it is just an illusion and begins to have nightmares about the teachers. >.< Her teacher wakes her up and she hits him with a desk!! (funny!) Miaka and her best friend, Yui Hongo, and a couple of their friends walk home talking about high school entrance exams. Miaka and Yui decide to take the train to the National Library...Miaka's first visit.

While at the library, Yui goes to return her book and Miaka runs off to a vending machine (always thinking of food of course!). She drops a coin and sees a strange glowing bird elegantly flying around and then disappear. Of course, she follows it all the way to the dark "Reference" section. Yui follows her and a book falls off the shelf: "The Universe of the Four Gods," a Chinese book. Miaka and Yui open it and she sees the bird she followed in a drawing in the book! Suddenly, they are both sucked into the book and find themselves in a deserted place.

Yui and Miaka are grabbed attacked by two Chinese slave traders. Miaka tries to fight, but a mysterious guy with an ogre symbol on his forehead comes to the rescue. He expects money, which the girls do not have! So, he just walks away and Yui chases after him...but disappears back in a red light and goes back to her own world. She reads the book and finds out that what happened to them is now in the book! Cool! Miaka sneaks a ride on a carraige to the city (in ancient China!!) to find Yui and the guy with the ogre symbol. She finds him in the town and goes after him.

However, starving, she goes to find food (what else is new!). She tries to buy bread with Japanese money!! (Not often accepted in ancient China, ::laughs::). Miaka then goes off looking for the guy again, when she meets another guy who says that he knows him and that he'll take her to him! (Uh...never trust strangers). He ends up leading her into a trap where she's surrounded by a lot of icky guys, but she kicks their butts! Well...at least for the moment. As soon as they get up and try attacking again, none other than the guy with the ogre symbol on his forehead shows up to the rescue!!! And he defeats all the bad guys. ^_^

Episode 2, "The Suzaku no Miko":

Once again, Miaka and the guy with the ogre symbol on his forehead meet again and she cries on his shoulderand begs to know about Yui. (Hilarious scene!) Then she chases him around. =P She follows him through the town bothering him, but he still wants to get payed. Miaka freaks out and thinking that he sold Yui to slave traders...making everyone else in town spread gossip (REALLY funny!!). He takes her away from the town and yells at her, and she cries again. (eek!).

Then, a beautiful palanquin (a carraige held up by usually four people) passes by in a parade. The guy with the ogre symbol explains that it is the emperor who is visiting. Miaka makes a deal with him saying that if she gets a jewel from the emperor, that he has to help her find Yui. So Miaka runs up to the palanquin and asks the emperor for a jewel (ha!) and ends up ripping off one of the curtains. As she is about to be arrested, the guy with the ogre symbol on his forehead saves her again. He introduces himself (finally!) as Sou Kishuko, but says that he goes by Tamahome...and she introduces herself too.

As the guards are trying to arrest them both, a red light surrounds Miaka making her vanish, and she sees that Yui is safe in the library, then she reappears. Then the emperor orders their arrest and they're put in jail. Miaka daydreams about high school exams, Yui, and her mom (basically the stuff teenagers worry about =P) but realizes it's just another dream. Tamahome promises to find an escape...as long as he gets payed!

The emperor talks to his advisors, and thinks that Miaka could be the Suzaku no Miko (Priestess of Suzaku in the dubbed version). Meanwhile, Miaka tries to hold off her hunger by chewing gum. She blows a bubble that pops on her face and scares the guard!! Which allows Tamahome to get the keys to get out of the jail cell. (SUPER FUNNY!!). Then Miaka gives Tamahome a piece of gum, and is REALLY excited to get it...?_?

They run through the hallway of the palace and find themselves in a room with a bird statue...the same one that Miaka has been seeing. Tamahome says that it is Suzaku, one of the 4 gods that guards one of the 4 cardinal points. He says that the East= Seiryu, North=Genbu, the West=Byakko, and the South=Suzaku...and that the empire of Konan is in the south, which means its guardian is Suzaku. While Tamahome keeps talking, Miaka runs off tot he kitchen to sneak food...which she managed successfully! But she finds herself lost in the courtyard. Then, a beautiful (?) man helps her, and seems all to interested in her story. He introduces himself as Hotohori.

The guards find and question Tamahome. His symbol glows and begins to fight and Hotohori stops them telling the guards to leave them alone. Everyone bows except Miaka (of course). Tamahome informs her that she should bow because that is the emperor! Miaka doesn't believe it and thinks that Hotohori is a woman, and starts feeling for...uh...a chest...eeek!!!! He tells them all about Suzaku and how she can be granted any wish she wants if she summons Suzaku. Of course, she dreams bout boys, food, and exams!! Then, Miaka agrees to be the Suzaku no Miko.

Episode 3 "The Seven Stars of Suzaku":

That night, Miaka had a dream about her brother Kesuke and wanting to go home, but waks up to realize that she is sleep talking to Tamahome! >.< Meanwhile, Hotohori examines himself in the mirror..."I'm so beautiful, it scares me." (Really funny!! And yes, he is a little conceited. =P). Tamahome and Miaka have a nice little moment, and then he tells her that she should fulfill the prophesy of Suzaku if she wants to go home.

Miaka runs excitedly to Hotohori to find out what she has to do to become the Suzaku no Miko. He tells her that Taiitsu-kun (pronounced like "tight scoon"..."scoon" isn't actually a real word..but oh well) who is the creater of that world, gave Taiso, the first emperor, the scroll of the Universe of the Four Gods. He tells her very important information: There are 7 constellations for each cardinal point, that's 28 regions of the heavens. And there is a god for each of the 4 cardinal points. Suzaku has these seven constellations: Chichiri, Tamahome, Tasuki, Chiriko, Mitsukake, Nuriko, and Hotohori. Hotohori then shows his symbol to Miaka, the symbol of the sea snake constellation. (Tamahome's symbol is for the constellation the crab ?_?).

Miaka is again excited to find another warrior, so Hotohori orders a search for all who excel in martial and literary arts (the warriors will stand out of course). Many guys show up, but Tamahome beats them easily, showing that they are not any of the 7 warriors. A suspicious Lady Korin spies. Miaka STUPIDLY insults all the guys to get them fired up, and they attack, trapping her and Tamahome under a collapsng gazebo. Yui, meanwhile reading the book, finds blood on her leg...realizing that what happens to Miaka happens to her as well!

Then Lady Korin shows up and lifts away all the debris like it's nothing and saves them! (funny!). Hotohori notices that she has the Suzaku mark of the willow on her collarbone. (She is one fo the women in Hotohori's harem). She introduces herself as Lady Korin, but her given name is Nuriko. Nuriko goes up to Tamahome a kiss after saving him!! o.O Later, while Miaka is washing the blood from her clothes (half naked...which she ends up being in quite a few episodes this series...) Tamahome runs in...trying to hide from Nuriko!! She ends up finding him, and ties him up and takes him away (funny!).

Miaka offers to be Nuriko's personal maid...but cannot interrupt when she and (a VERY unwilling) Tamahome are together. Nuriko makes it a living nightmare for Miaka as her maid! >.< (hehe). While Miaka is taking a break, Tamahome sneaks away from Nuriko and finds Miaka. She congratulates him on his relationship, but the tells her that he's not happy in that relationship. Then he tends to her leg wound. (aww!)

END OF EPISODE 3

Episode 4 "Missing Love":

Yui sits in the library and reads about Tamahome helping Miaka and her wounded leg. Miaka comments on how she thinks that she's getting in the way of Tamahome and Nuriko's relationship, but Tamahome says that he doesn't like Nuriko, and observes that he thinks that Miaka is jealous! But he tells her that he's just looking for money. Nuriko, of course, was spying.

At night, Miaka finds Nurikostanding on the porch ourside the harem and tells her that she lost one of her very precious earings (given to her before she was ordered to enter the harem by her mother). Miaka offers to help look. She runs off. Hotohori talks with his advisors. They tell him that he is 18 years old now and that he should choose a bride (one from his harem). But he says that an empress can wait and that he just wants to worry about ruling his empire. Plus he says that he has an idea of what he wants. ~_*

Miaka pops up and Hotohori offers to make Nuriko be nice to her (as we already know, Nuriko isn't the most friendly), but Miaka tells him that it would just be better if she did it alone. While looking for the earing, Miaka falls in the lake, and Yui finds herself soaking wet! Miaka is tangled in seaweed under water. Tamahome senses trouble and overhears Nuriko talk about how she TRICKED Miakato to get rid of her!! >.< Tamahome confronts Nuriko and scolds her. Nuriko admits that she is jealous that all of the guys are now paying attention to Miaka, especially Hotohori whom she loves...when she suddenly appears in the doorway. Nuriko gets out a few angry words and they slap each other. Then, Miaka gives Nuriko a pretty stone that she found (as a peace offering) while looking for the earing and tells Nuriko that she shouldn't be jealous and that she's just friends with Hotohori. Nuriko cries.

Miaka goes off and tells HOtohori that Nuriko loves him, but he tells her that he only loves one woman...the woman of legend, the Suzaku no Miko (despite the fact that he had never met her before now)...which means he is in love with Miaka. But suddenly, he gets up and slices a window, to find Nuriko and Tamahome spying (funny!). Before Hotohori leaves, he proposes to Miaka (aww!).

The next day, Miaka bumps into Tamahome, who really doesn't say anything to her (since the incidents last night). =( Then a SUPER jealous Nuriko shows up...and yells at her for being "just friends" with the emperor! (of course, not she doesn't trust Miaka). Then she runs off with Tamahome who is going back to the town. Miaka follows them in disguise...sort of. Tamahome runs up on some steps and causes a riot trying to sell the gum that Miaka gave him ( I guess it isn't common in ancient China!). The crowd thinks it's a scam, until Miaka shows up and verifies that he's telling the truth. And boy do the fans go wild! ::laughs:: When they escape the crowd, some people Tamahome knows end up causing a fight, and Tamahome totally beats up the guys! Meanwhile, Nuriko spies (what else is new!) from behind a building in the rain.

After the fight, Miaka blurts out that she loves him, but he coldly says that he does not return the feeling. (UGH!) And Miaka collapses.
