W: What can you
advise for new CCS web masters/mistresses?
M: Don’t loose faith, don’t loose interest, and remain committed
to your love for the series. If you love the show, then say, “I love the
show,” and stick with it. For me personally, there is no in between,
either you like it or you don’t. If you only semi-like the series or your
not sure, then two things can happen: 1) you can build a web site for the
show and it may help you like it more, or 2) start a site and never take it
anywhere, because you’re not as interested in it as you might be with
something else. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for help, believe
me I’ve asked my fair share of help. Don’t be afraid to contact web site
owners. Many are happy you visited their site and willing to help out. I’m
available as well. If I don’t know something, then I can most likely point
you in the right direction. For example, you may not know how to make a
layout, but have a general idea on what it might look like. Well there are
lots of fan sites out there that offer free downloadable layouts. This is
why I say to not loose faith. It may take some time to make your site how
you want it, but you’ve done it, its something to be proud of.
W: What are your
future plans for your site? Any messages for CCS fans?
M: Ah yes, future plans. Obviously the easy one is to expect more
contests in August to celebrate Michael’s Cardcaptors 3rd Year
Anniversary! YEAH! Free prizes! Alright! Here’s a secret I’ll let out of
the bag concerning MCC, exclusive to this interview: I have a friend who
lives in San Diego. Over the past several months, she has been recording
Cardcaptors episodes for me, in Spanish. What I’ll be able to do now is
screen capture many episodes that never aired in English here in the United
States. I couldn’t do it before with video releases because of the
copyright laws, but now I can since the episodes were recorded for me from
television. I’ll also be able to record WAV files so you can compare
English and Spanish voice actors! Sounds cool doesn’t it. The Spanish
episodes weren’t heavily edited like the USA versions were either, so even
if I already have screen shots for the US episode, the Spanish equivalent
will have new ones not previously seen. Capturing images from the Spanish
episodes will take some time, so don't expect this tomorrow or anything.
Messages for the CCS fans: Thank you for visiting my site, and helping me
make it one I’m very proud of! Affiliates are always welcome! Please
continue to visit in the future! [W: Watch out for this! It must be really
cool =)] Previous
