“Wonderful!! I’ll start on it right away” said the dressmaker.
“Thanks. Please try to have it ready by 8:00 PM tonight.”
“I will” the dressmaker replied.

Selenity started to dance around her room. She was so happy and full of glee.
She drifted into sleep...

“Princess Selenity...daughter of the King And Queen of the Moon” the announcer called as she entered the huge ballroom. When she finally reached the throne of the ballroom, she gave a curtsey to the King and Queen of Earth. She moved on to greet the advisor, the prime minister, and finally, the Prince.
“I will be waiting for you” Selenity whispered, as she curtsied to Endymion.
“Don’t worry” he whispered back, while bowing to her...as it was his duty to bow to every princess that greeted him. Selenity finally took her seat.
“Princess Katherine...daughter of the King and Queen of Galaxia” the announcer called. The announcing continued. 20 minutes later....the announcing was done.
Selenity got up off her seat. She wandered into the large crowd. There were people everywhere. Princesses chatting...princes talking over brandy...kings and queens having a laugh. Everyone was mingling. Selenity kept on trying to find Endymion, but she couldn’t find him anywhere. She kept on bumping into old friends, new friends, friends she had just met. Still, she couldn’t find Endymion. She did spot his parents. They were talking with each other, just amongst themselves. Selenity thought that it would be alright to cut in their conversation. She walked up to them. She cleared her throat a little.
“Um...excuse me. King Endymion? I was just wondering if you happened to know where Prince Endymion is” she said in a soft voice, but loud enough for them to hear her.
“Why yes. He is near the royal thrones. He got caught by those other princesses from other planets. They all wanted to dance with him, but they couldn’t, so instead, he’s just answering their questions. His royal guards are there, so you’ll be able to spot him” King Endymion answered.
“Oh thank you so much” Selenity said with a big smile on her face.
“No problem” he said, chuckling a little. “But I must say, some of those princesses over there really don’t look that bad. I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to marry one of tho....”
The queen kicked him in his leg to stop him from babbling on.
“I’m sure he’ll want to dance with you...and I’m sure you’ll be the one he marries” Queen Endymion said with a gentle smile on her face.
“Thank you” Selenity said. She left the king and queen in a flash, anxious to see Endymion again. Finally, after going around in circles, she spotted the royal guards. Then, she saw Endymion. She parted the circle of princesses that surrounded him. She finally reached the front. Endymion saw Selenity. He smiled at Selenity. All the princess that were near Selenity thought he was smiling at them, but Selenity knew who that smile was meant for.
“Does anyone have anymore questions?” he asked.
“I do” Selenity said aloud, so that Endymion would be able to hear her.
“What might that be, princess?” Endymion asked, a smile slowly growing on his face.
“I would like to know... if you would dance with me?” she said. There was dead silence. All eyes fell upon her, then they turned back to the prince to see what his answer would be.
“Yes Princess. I would like to dance with you” Endymion answered, a fully grown smile on his face. He held out his hand to Selenity. She smiled and took his hand. All the princesses parted, making walkway for them. Some girls were envious of her, while some were happy for her. Some complained, while some were mesmerized by those two.
Endymion and Selenity started to dance. Selenity, in her lilac dress. Soft and gentle, yet very stunning. They danced on the ballroom dance floor. Soon, the lights went down and there was a spotlight on them, but they didn’t care. All they really cared about was that they were with each other.
“I thought I’d never find you” Selenity said, giving a little laugh, thinking of how dumb she was.
“I thought I’d never find you either” Endymion said, also giving a little laugh. “Those princesses are like the window bars in prison. There’s no way to break through them unless someone on the outside breaks them for you... and that’s what you did” Endymion said softly.
They both giggled softly, looked into each other’s eyes and kissed.

“Now, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Prince to announce who his bride will be.” The prime minister called out. “Sir,” he said, leading the Prince to the front of the throne area.
Everyone gathered around, especially the princesses of the Earth, who thought that one of them would be picked. There was silence.
“This took a lot of time. The princess I choose shows everything that I want in a wife. Reliability, love, compassion, trust, humor, and everything else I or anyone else would look for in a wife, or even a husband. The princess I choose is....” Everyone quieted down. “...Princess Selenity of the Moon.”
Selenity smiled, looking at him. He smiled, looking back at her. Suddenly, that silence broke into pandemonium. All the princesses of the Earth started to complain and whine, while the kings and queens were baffled.
“I’m sorry Prince Endymion, but you are not allowed to marry a princess of the Moon. It is against the law. You must choose another princess” the advisor said.
“Okay then. I choose....”
