“Princess Selenity of the Moon” he said. Selenity smiled, sort of giggling.

“I’m sorry sir, I think you didn’t hear me clearly. I said, you can not marry a princess of the Moon. Choose another princess” the advisor said again.

“Like I said, Princess Selenity of the Moon” he said.

“Sir, it is against the law to marry a girl that is not a part of your ruling planet, or should I remind you what your ruling planet is? Well, nevermind...you probably forgot. It’s a planet that does not allow their princes to marry princesses of the Moon. It’s called Earth!!” he said sharply.

The Prime Minister was becoming very upset with this situation. He wanted the Prince to marry and be happy, but the princess he chose did not suit the law. He wanted the Prince to be happy with who he married. He was standing there, trying to see if there was anything he could do to let the Prince marry Princess Selenity. Afterall, the Prince was like a son to him...and the Prime Minister was like a second father to Endymion. He tapped Endymion on his shoulder.

“I’ll be right back, okay son?” the Prime Minister said.

“Okay” Endymion replied softly.

The Prime Minister left. While he was leaving, he was mumbling to himself, “There must be a way to let him marry Princess Selenity” and went to the records room.

“Prince. I order you to choose another girl to marry” the advisor said, getting frustrated.

“Excuse me! I’m 20 now and you can’t order me around anymore, Advisor!” he said forcefully. He suddenly walked down the aisle. Everyone created a path that lead straight for Selenity. She looked at him coming towards her. She was starting to get confused. The he softly, but loud enough for everyone to hear, “Come with me Selenity, I’ll crown you as my queen and wife by myself. If the advisor won’t do it, then I will” he said. All Selenity could do was smile. He took Selenity by the hand and lead her to the front of the throne. He picked up the crown. He gave Selenity a smile, then he was about to place the crown on her head when the advisor spoke.

“No prince, I forbid you from putting that crown on her head!” he said, heading towards him, about to snatch the crown away from him, when another voice came in.

“Stop Advisor!” It was the Prime Minister.

“Prime Minister” the advisor and the prince said simultaneously.

“Don’t you dare take that crown away from him!” he said defensively.

“But why not? He can’t marry her!” the advisor said.

“Nope, you’re completely wrong” he said, a smirk on his face.

“But, but...” stuttered the advisor “...how can that be?”

“You see, I went to the records room and looked up on this law, and guess what I found out. It’s not an official law anymore.” he said with ease.

“Anymore? What do you mean when you say it’s not a law anymore ?” asked the advisor.

“Well, you see, this law was made up when the Earth and Moon were fighting against each other. I know what you’re gonna say, that we are still holding grudges against each other, but this law was broken a long long time ago. We all think this law still exists because a past advisor had lied to his prince, saying that he could not marry the princess he wanted to, just like our Prince. But when they saw what happened to the Prince, they finally broke off the law but they never announced that it was off to the people of the universe. Don’t ask why, but they never announced it.”

“So, what happened to the Prince?” Endymion asked, curious to find out what happened.

“Well, you see, the Prince... when he found out that he could not marry the princess of his choosing, they didn’t marry him to her but married him to another girl that was from his ruling planet. He couldn’t do anything to stop his betrothed marriage, so, after a year into his marriage with a girl he did not love wholeheartedly, he died. He died from heartbreak. He couldn’t take it anymore. After that happened, the advisor committed suicide. He couldn’t forgive himself for being unfaithful to his prince, so they finally decided to break off the law.”

Everyone became silent.

“Well then Prince, you’re allowed to marry the Princess then.” the advisor said. “I’m sorry my prince, please forgive me.”

“You’re forgiven, and please, don’t ever commit suicide.”

“Don’t worry about it” he said.

“Good. That’s the last thing I want you to do” he said, giving a smile. The advisor smiled back. He turned to Selenity. They smiled at each other.

“Well, now that it’s settled, may I present to you the future King and Queen of the Earth. Prince Endymion and Princess Selenity...of the Moon” the advisor said.

Selenity smiled. Selenity held the King’s crown and placed it on Endymion’s head. She smiled at him and whispered “I love you” to Endymion. Endymion held the Queen’s crown and placed it on her head and also whispered “I love you” to Selenity. They turned to face the crowd and placed big smiles on their faces. Everyone cheered.

“Presenting to you, ladies and gentlemen, Prince Endymion and Princess Selenity.” the advisor announced proudly.

Everyone clapped and cheered. Loyal servants came out and placed long capes on them, symbolizing their royalty. Selenity and Endymion hugged each other. The crowd made a walkway for them leading to the doors of the castle. They walked down the path, arm in arm. There at the doorway was a horse and buggy in all white, waiting to take them to their new mansion in the countryside, where they would live together. They were heading towards the doors. They were just about to step outside when the doors slammed shut. Then, from nowhere, an eerie voice shouted, “YOU’RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!!”
