Shukaido is one of the seven scientists, as well. He is the doctor. He is in love with Mokuren. When everyone has died besides himself, Mokuren, and Shion, he finds an antidote, and gives it to Shion, but says he gave some to Mokuren as well. Shukaido and Mokuren die, and Shion is left alone on the moon for nine years. Shukaido repents for his terible deeds in his next life, as Haruhiko.
