Macross 7 Synopsis

For those of you who don't know what Macross is does Robotech ring a bell? Well if it still dosen't Macross/Robotech was the story of a alien ship that crash lands on the earth in the year 1999. The earthlings decide to rebuild the ship for their own use. In 2010 the ship is completed when the aliens come to earth waging war to reclaim the secrets of the ship. The earth has developed mechs called veritechs to battle the immense array of alien mecha. At the end of the series the tow races beat the hell out of each other but eventually make peace. The two races then learn a third race is after the ship thus another series is spawned and another follows and so on.

Macross 7 is exactly what it sounds like the seventh Macross series. The story is sort of complex basically the year is 2045 and the people of earth have left home to space to look for the galactic core. The people now live in a biosphere ship called Macross 7. One day while looking for the core the Macross 7 fleet is attacked by an unknown enemy and fight back with the veritechs. However one man (a singer) by the name of Nekki Basara has a different approach to singing the Lynn Minmay tactic. This tactic is singing to the enemy which somehow always manages to affect the bad guy mentally. Thus the earth finds itself mixed up in another war yet again.

Now don't get me wrong there is tons of Japanese rock music in the series but there is also a great amount of violence in Macross 7. And your information the people who sing happen to be a real Japanese band called Fire Bomber. I highly recommend Macross 7 to any true mech fan out there.
