Dragonball is about a baby saiya-jin named Goku that is sent to earth by the saiya-jin's destroy it. Goku gets hit in the head and forgets everything that he was supposed to do. As Goku goes on in his new adventures he Bulma, Kulilyn, Yamacha, and more. Dragonball is about finding dragonballs. There are 7 dragonballs once all of them are together you will need a password to summon the eternal dragon within the 7 dragonballs then you get to make a wish. After Dragonball ended they made a second part of the show wich is called Dragonball Z.
Dragonball Z is about Goku again but he is now a man. Raditz Goku's brother, tells Goku that he is a saya-jin from Planet Vegeta. Goku goes on to kill Raditz and more villains as the show goes on. During the Frieza saga Goku becomes so enraged at Piccolo and Kulilyn's death that he becomes a super saiya-jin an ultimate form of saiya-jin. Super Saiya-jin's become awsomely powerful the get bright blonde hair. Goku is the first to become super saiya-jin and later on almost everyone becomes SSJ-EXAMPLES: Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Vegeta. Most of them learn to fuse together to form EX: Gogetta, Gotenks. Everyone Fights together to kill Raditz, Frieza, Brolly, Cell, Cooler, and a lot more. At the end of Dagonball Z they made another series called Dragonball GT. I haven't seen the series yet because I live in Canada. So Read Everything below it should help out.

The whole Dragonball series is based upon an old Chinese book written by Wu Cheng'en. It's about a monkey that has an expanding staff and even a cloud that it can ride on. He ran into a female human, named Sanzang, eventually he brought her along for the long journey. This book inspired Akira Toriyama himself to start the Dragonball series. He was fastinated by the whole idea of the story.
First series of Toriyama's book, it became a huge hit in Japan. It was made to be just a manga, but after the manga recieved alot of fans and followers, Akira decided to make it a series. It's about girl named Buruma, that's looking for 7 dragonballs. After she collects all seven she is granted one wish. Along the way, she hits alittle kid, named Son Gokou, with her car. He survived, and he decided to tag along with her for her journey to find all 7 Dragonballs.
Dragonball became such a big hit, that Akira wanted to further his series. In this series, Son Gokou has grown up to be a handsome young man. There is alot more action in DragonballZ, and is the longest of both series made by Akira. This series is currently shown on Television in the US, and about 25 other countries. The Z gang run into many obstacles, but they always seem to find their way around it. This is my favorite of all 3 series.
After the first two series brought in alot of money, Toei animation wanted to make a closing sequel to Dragonball. The name, Dragonball GT. The company asked Akira if he wanted in on the project, but he refused, he just had a first born son, and cared for him more than the new series, so they went on without him. Everyone's changed in this series, a few people grew older, new charactors arrived, etc. This is known to be the more boring of the 3 series, and I agree.
