"I know, but I don't want to move," he whispers softly into your ear.
"Come on, move your lazy butt," you kiss his soft cheek, sit up on the couch, and grab his hands.
"I am not lazy, I was just enjoying laying here," he smiles and sits up.
"I was too, but it is getting late and you said you guys are leaving tonight," you send him a sad look, "I don't want you to leave."
"I don't want to leave either," he runs his finger gently across your tender cheek. He smiles and touches your mouth, implying for you to smile also, "Come on," he pulls you up to your feet.
You follow him as he leads you off the tour bus. "What are you doing, Brian?"
"Shhhh," he says and pulls you close as if to hug you. Your bodies begin to sway as you dance under the moonlight.
"I still owe you a song, right?"
"Mmm Hmmm."
"Ok, well...," he smiles and clears his throat. You lift your head from his chest and gaze at him, exploring his deep blue eyes.
He presses his finger to your lips and begins... "Don't say a word, I understand," He smiles and you do the same. His voice continues to soothe your soul and melt your heart as he sings on, "You wanna know, if I'm still your man. Girl, can't you tell, by the touch of my hand," he draws your hand into his and plays with it for a short while and continues in song, "I'm gunna please you, every way that I can."
His hand presses your head back onto his chest and his arms wrap firmly around you, "I'll hold you, love you, I'll never let your love go," he looks into your eyes again. "For always, I'll stay, just look in my eyes and you'll know," you smile and snuggle close again as he serenades you with more of his song, "I'll Be There For You."
Your bodies drift back and forth together as he sings, "Baby, I'll be there for you... wherever you go, whatever you do. Girl, I've got forever in time, for all of my life, I'll be there for you." He kisses you lips quickly and as you smile he continues with the next verse, "Don't ever doubt your trust in me. I'll give you my heart, so honestly. Deep in my soul, baby, you'll find the truth. I'll never change, girl, I promise you," he smiles charmingly and you run your fingers through his adorable curly strands of hair.
"I'll hold you lady, love you lady, I'll never let your love go. For always, I'll stay, just look in my eyes and you'll know... I'll be there for you, wherever you go, whatever you do. Hey girl, I've got forever in time, for all of my life, I'll be there for you," he squeezes you tight and your heart leaps since you know he is singing this for you and intending every word of it just for you.
"Nothing and no one can tear us apart; you'll always be here inside of my heart," he pats his chest and then his eyes drift up to the expansive sky above, adorned with stars, "and just as sure as the stars shine above," he focuses back on you. He speaks his final line softly in your ear, "No matter what happens you can count on my love."
Brian presses his hand firmly on your back and pulls you as close as possible. He kisses you passionately then continues to hold you in the beautiful silence; you are speechless.
"That was beautiful," you manage to say.
"Thanks," he kisses you again, "So are you."
"100 times better than any concert! WOW! I don't remember you singing that song at the concert."
"I don't sing it in concert, it is too special," he says.
"I feel so honored!"
He just smiles again, "Well, I truly did mean what I sang."
"Wow that was... man, that was... way better than the 'normal' song I was expecting." You smile.
"Thanks."
"Oh Brian," you look down, "Why do I have to like you so much?"
"Umm, I am not sure what to say, thanks?"
"Well, you are leaving soon. It is just so hard."
"Lets not think about it yet, lets just enjoy our time together before we have to go."
"Sounds good."
He suddenly places his foot on the bus' front bumper and climbs up onto the front. He reaches out for you to take his hand. You do and he hoists you up. You crawl together onto the roof of the bus.
He sits down, then lays back and places his hands beneath his head. You snuggle closely beside him and accompany his gaze at the stars shining above.
"They are so beautiful," he says.
You both look at each other, "Just like you," both of you say and smile.
