"Hey, get up," Brian nudges your side.
"Yeah?"
"Come on," he leads you off the roof of the tour bus.
"Umm ok," you are now fully awake and follow him off the bus.
As you step off, you see the other guys scurrying around, and people loading luggage. AJ walks past and sees you and Brian, "Hey guys... hmmm... wonder what you two were doing?" He grins childishly.
"Come on AJ, you know it wasn't like that," Brian says shyly and almost a little embarrassed.
"Brian was getting busy tonight!" AJ laughs and heads off.
"Some guys..." Brian smiles, laughs, slides his arm around your waist, and squeezes you tight.
A largely built man hands Brian a bag and says, "Don't just stand there, lets get a move on! We only have 45 minutes and we're out.
You grab Brian's hands and say, acting like a little kid, "No! You can't go!"
"I don't really have much of a choice, do I? I mean we are leaving in 45 minutes."
"So you are just going to leave then?" You ask, not intending to sound hurt.
"Hey, I never said I wanted to!"
"True."
"I can't believe how much I have come to like you in one day."
"I understand."
"Well I should get you home since it will take me a good 20 minutes to find the way there and back, plus I gotta pack up."
"Sounds good."
"It does?"
"Well no," you say, "but it will work."
"I'm sorry," he walks to the rented convertible and you both hop in.
"So, who's bringing the car back for you?"
"Oh, they'll pick it up. We get the V.I.P. service."
"Awesome, that is one plus to being a Backstreet Boy," you joke around, pretending to be happy.
"Yeah, that and all the fans we have. Especially the ones you get to know, the perfect fans."
You smile at the compliment, "Oh so you get to know a lot?"
"No not at all, we barely have time for anything anymore. I was lucky to meet you. I am a really lucky guy."
You smile, "Peasure is all mine."
"Ok, am I going the right way? This all looks different at night," he asks.
"Yup, this is right."
"Cool."
You turn and look out the window.
"Why so sad?" Brian asks even though he knows exactly what is wrong since he is feeling the same way.
"Hmmm... I wonder, Brian. I mean I meet the guy of my dreams, he sings me a gorgeous song, and he even tells me how much he likes me. Then he has to leave, most likely for good. Why would I ever be sad?"
"Good point, only didn't you hear anything I said, well actually, I sang?"
"Yeah I heard what you sang; it was amazing."
"But did you really listen to what I was singing?"
"I thought so."
"Well, I chose that song for a reason. I truly meant every lyric, every word that I sang."
"Ok."
"Nothing and no one can tear us apart, you'll always be here inside of my heart," he says, "I meant that."
You smile, "Wow."
"I'll never change, girl, I promise you," he recites.
You smile, inside and out.
"Basically I'm saying, I'll be there for you."
You smile and your eyes tear up. "But how? I mean, you have to leave."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can never see you again. I will call, promise."
"Ok, I trust you," you sniffle and then feel a little embarrassed.
"Please, don't cry," He looks so hurt and almost as if he will cry too. "I hate goodbyes."
"Ok, this is my house," you point solemnly.
"Ok," he turns into the driveway.
"So, this is goodbye?" You ask.
"Not yet," he pulls you into the most romantic and passion entailed kiss you have EVER experienced. After pulling away, he says, "That's a goodbye."
"Ok," you hug him and look away, "Goodbye, Brian."
"Only for a little, I promise."
"Ok, I am trusting you. I know we will see each other again."
"We sure will and you will hear from me soon, hun."
You smile and giggle as tears roll from your eyes. He begins to pull out of the driveway and you catch the moonlight glistening in his moist eyes. "Don't worry, love can do amazing things," he pauses, "Goodbye."
You wave as he drives off. You wipe your tear stained cheeks and smile as you think about how sappy those final words were. As sappy as they may have been, they impacted you so much and they were so meaningful because you knew he truly meant them. His last words echo in your mind, "Love can do amazing things."
"Love?? Love?! Love!! He LOVES me?!?!" You skip into the house thinking, "Brian Littrell loves me! Brian Thomas Littrell said he loves me!!!!"
"WAKE UP ALREADY!!" Your mom pushes you over onto your back.
You moan and groggily look up, still smiling.
"What are you so cheery about at 6:30 AM?" Your mom asks.
"What?? Where am I?? What happ...?"
Your mom laughs, "Guess it was a sweet dream??"
Suddenly it all makes sense, "Oh yes, it was the perfect dream!"
