"Told you it was simple," Brian responds.
"Where are we though?" You ask as you see bunks down the hallway.
"On our tour bus."
"COOL! I never imagined I would get to set foot in here!!!" You smile.
"Yeah, well, I thought as my surprise we could just sit here on this comfy couch and watch a movie together."
"Brian that is so sweet! I love it!"
"So, I rented us a movie and bought some microwave popcorn at the video store. We have everything we need right here... food, drinks, a movie, each other, simple as that."
"Simple, yet sweet, Bri. What movie did you get?"
"She's All That."
"I love that movie, it was so cute," you say approvingly.
"You've seen it?" He looks dissappointed.
"Yeah, but not with you," you smile and pull him onto the couch and he sits beside you. He quickly presses "play" on the remote and the movie begins.
You look at Brian and he slides his arm around your shoulder, impelling you to cuddle closer. Resting your head upon his chest, you begin to watch the movie.
About a quarter of the way through the movie, Brian says, "I could go for some popcorn, what about you?"
"Sure," you move over as he gets up to make the popcorn.
"Be right back, don't move."
"Hurry, the best part is coming up."
He departs and comes back a few minutes later with a bowl heaped with freshly popped popcorn. He hands you the bowl and you set it in front of you. Immediately, you grab a handful and begin to munch.
"Care to share?" Brian asks.
"Oh sorry, sure. Here you go," you begin to slide the bowl over but suddenly decide to seize the moment. You take a kernel in your hand and look at Brian. His focus has already returned to the movie. You toss the single kernel and it hits the side of his face. He looks surprised but he stares forward and tries to maintain a straight face.
This is too much for you to handle! You begin to giggle and his straight face cracks. He, in turn, grabs a handful and chucks it at you.
"Hey, what was that for?" You exclaim innocently.
"Revenge" he laughs.
"Oh yeah?" You ask and grab another handful. Brian is too quick and he catches your hand in mid-air.
"Oh yeah," he states. Just to play with you, he leans forward and eats a piece of popcorn from your outstretched hand. "Yummy," he does a perfect Jim Carey impression.
"You are too much," you say.
"But you know you love me!" He casts a HUGE yet goofy smile.
You blush, "How could anyone not love that gorgeous smile?"
"I dunno, you tell me," he continues to smile and slowly moves forward until his lips grace yours and his smile turns into a kiss that you eagerly accept. Both of you are immediately engulfed in this affectionate kiss. Brian pulls your body closer to his and holds you tight as he runs his fingers through your hair and down your back.
After being fixated in the kiss for a while, you pull away and say, "Brian, I don't feel right kissing you like that. We just met."
"Yeah I know, I usually wouldn't, only it feels so right. I have been wanting to kiss you like that all day."
"Me too."
"Want something to drink?" he asks, "Not to ruin the moment or anything," he blushes.
"Sure." He gets up to get a drink from the fridge and you lay down and stretch out over the couch.
When he returns, he says, "Hey, you took my spot."
Still laying down, you scootch over and pat the area between you and the cushions, "Still room."
He just smiles and lays beside you. He leans his head on the cushion and he places his arm around your stomach.
"Can you see ok?" You ask.
"Yup."
The movie was drawing to a close when Nick and AJ walked in, "Oh sorry, Rok," AJ blurted out.
"Yeah sorry Brian, didn't mean to interrupt," Nick says as he grabs a drink.
"It is alright, we were just watching a movie," Brian answers, but you can tell he feels uncomfortable.
Nick looks at you and then says, "I have been looking for you, Brian, all day. I need your advice on something," he looks at you again, "Come here Brian."
You sit up and AJ plops onto the couch beside you. "So you a friend of B-Rok's?"
"Yeah."
"Cool."
You feel a little out of place next to AJ since he looks so cool yet crazy. You also don't know him like you know Brian.
"Excuse me a sec, Nick seems to be having problems," AJ heads off to where Brian and Nick went, leaving you alone with the TV.
Voices trail in..... "So you like her you mean," you hear Nick's voice say softly.
"She is just so great," Brian responds.
"I dunno, I just don't want you to get hurt again, Brian. You were pretty messed up after Leighanne!"
"Yeah, but this is different. I really do like her."
"Oh so you didn't like Leighanne?"
"Yeah but what we have now is different, it just feels right," Brian explains.
"Ok, Rok, you know what you are doing, besides, she is a sweetie," AJ says.
Brian walks back in and sits beside you again, "Sorry."
"It's ok," you say and rest your head on his chest as he moves his arm around your shoulder and holds you next to him again.
"I could stay here forever, Brian," you say as the movie ends.
